lumris ; the city of glass
lumris is the aerim in mireaerim. it is a realm of light. the sun shines always, so the city is made of enchanted glass. instead of reflecting light and burning like regular prisms, the glass of lumris traps the excess heat, and absorbs the light at nighttime. there is a giant glass dome over the main part of the kingdom that is enchanted with protections from the heat and from the weather. every window is made with stained glass, the pictures with sigils and other magics. small prisms are hung above doorways as a symbol of truth, and glass statues of old leaders are erect in city squares. science is very important in lumris. the city council is run by academics and the magic used in lumris is scientific; alchemy, sigils, potions. the light of the sun is what creates immortality, so lumrish people are unfamiliar with and frown upon the death magic of tenertia, referring to it as "dark" and "unnatural." this of course is not true, and if lumrish people and tenertians interacted with each other, they would quickly learn so.
