@luna-mxth sent from sontna: "Bad luck relies on absolutely perfect timing." deathless starters | accepting
"That's the truth," He replied with a self-deprecating laugh. "I swear the Maker has it down to a science at this point - wait until the exact worst possible moment, then strike."
Alistair grimaced, remembering just what sort of bad luck he tended to have. Sometimes it felt like worse than others, as if it were some cruel joke being played against him. "I could list to you a whole host of time I had extraordinarily bad luck at absolutely the worst time, so it's not like I can disagree with you at all there. Bad luck and worse timing are unfortunately - or purposefully, I suspect - very old friends of mine at this point."
The memories still made him wince, honestly. Not a memory lane he really wanted to be walking down.
He leveled Sontna with a sympathetic smile this time. "What is it that you're thinking about this now for some reason? Have a particularly bad spat of fortune recently? I'd be more than happy to at least be your source of venting. Especially in case I've somehow passed on the curse of my own awful luck."
