It was hard living in a world that thought your existence was unnatural, that you were the personification of evil. There wasn’t many who knew how hard the existence was when all you wanted to do was be happy and help others. Thankfully he wasn’t alone with that in the legion, there was Luna while they were different Jon knew they were kindred. Straddling a half wall pealing potatoes with a stunning view he saw Luna walk by, “Luna, want to peel potatoes with me, I’ve got another knife?” There was room enough for her to sit on the other side the bucket of potatoes.

The bidding hasn’t officially started yet so Rowan is just enjoying socializing and checking out the silent auction items scattered around the edges of the event. There’s some things that catch her attention, but she doesn’t bid on much -- a couple passes to a plant show in New Orleans that, shockingly, no one else is interested in, but other than that she just browses, sipping on a glass of white wine. Despite the fact that her kids are with the babysitter tonight, she’s not trying to get hammered --- she just wants to get a nice wine buzz going, enough to keep the nigh fun and exciting, but to avoid a potential hangover in the morning. She had just ditched her empty glass at the bar in favour of a new, full one and was contemplating stuffing her face when she caught sight of Luna. Luna is hard to miss any day; she has an air about her that is confident and collected and pulls attention to her, but in a dress like that it’s impossible to miss her. “Hey,” she greets the nurse with a small smile. “You look nice. The red suits you.” Which is an understatement, but she is sure Luna is aware that she looks beautiful tonight and if not --- well, she’s blind and there’s nothing Rowan can do to help her. “Are you plannin’ on spending all your hard earned money tonight or just watching?”

Luna Lovegood was many things to James Potter, but most of all she was constant. Which seemed an odd word to apply to such a person as his godmother, lateral thinker that she was, but she was always, always there, and he couldn’t imagine her not being there — and the idea of her in danger was a terrifying one. However, she was also constant in her stubbornness — you wouldn’t think it, with a dreamy person like her, but she stuck to her guns, and James recognised that set in her jaw from several conversations she’d had with Aunt Hermione. “Ideally, none of them will get near enough for it,” he remarked, before shooting a jet of light at someone to their side and stepping forward to flank her. “What?” he said, anticipating a question. “I’m not losing you too,” he said, not quite managing the casual tone he was going for, but hoping his smile might split the difference, sad as its shadows might be.

chris hated spending time alone--’s why he felt at home being in a band rather than a solo artist. plus, he couldn’t imagine being involved in anything other than afterparty at this point in his life. being on his own on a tuesday night was bothering his mind, he kept pacing the halls of his house, switching from staring at the television to playing with his dogs, garcia and morgan. unable to stand the solitude any longer, he reached for his car keys and dashed for the door, leaving and driving wherever his hands led him. chris soon found himself parked in front of luna’s place, somewhat of a second home, and it made sense why he’d drive there. she always had a way of making him feel less lonely. for courtesy’s sake, christian opened his text messages to her and sent a quick ‘hey, can i come over?’ and sent it, even though he was already sat in the driveway. shortly after the read receipt appeared he locked his car and headed for her front door.
