Hey! I love your meta and your post about the ending struck a chord with me. If you're taking fix fic suggestions, how about something involving Tavros? Or even better, Tavrosprite? The poor guy has remained offscreen since Vriska made him part cat and put him to sleep and all I want is for him to be happy and not some permanently suffering, miserable abomination. ;n;

... That is to say, this is the prompt that made my brain go ping! and the fic writing gears start turning. I have to go to bed now, but tomorrow, this is happening. (God I hear you on Tavrosprite, he might as well have never existed after that. :/)

I hope you don't mind me pouring more salt into your inbox, but. I don't know what all these 'lessons Homestuck taught me' come from, but to me the morale of the story was that magic will fix your problems and if it doesn't then you'll die and be forgotten, and that all versions of you are interchangeable, so your memories and experiences mean nothing. Also that there isn't any justice because abusive, murderous jerks will win it all and their victims will never matter. Kind of a downer..

Yo, I feel you. This is the ending I've feared since the retcons. Things conspired to go perfectly right, Vriska fixed the cast, made the perfect plan and beat LE with the secret weapon, no one learned a thing, and the (ghost/sprite/Terezi) characters we've followed from Act 1 to GO are forgotten. But we know some of the cast is happy so we should be glad! Yeah no, liking the ending is OK, but to call it acceptable is to be delusional, and saying we should be happy with it is rude as fuck. >:o

homestuck is a great, epic, sweeping tale with many ups and downs and many bright sides but act 7 is just not it. It’s not even a “down”. It does not compute. I’m so happy the comic exists, I’m so happy about all the cool things that were created thanks to it, but I ain’t dang gonna be happy about act 7 when there’s nothing there to be happy about. I’m not even happy it’s over.

Tavros has always been one of the most potentially powerful characters in Homestuck, since he could control first guardians. He didn't need to BE one, that's just putting unnecessary strain on him. Vriska really had a dumb idea prototyping him when he could have communed with GCAT.

Yeeeeaaaaah, I think she might’ve screwed the pooch on this one, so to speak.  I do kinda thing Vriska’s still got that, “How do I make Tavros better??” complex going on here.  That never stopped being a thing, unfortunately.

"How can a universe be killed"? Well, we do talk about the "heat death" of the universe, so we can definitely say it has a lifespan of sorts. (P.S. Welcome back! Glad to see you again.)

The reason I didn’t think along that avenue was because the code specifically said “this.die()” or something close to that. I would call heat death or the big crunch or the big bounce more of an END of the universe.  I guess I’m just being anal about it ... I do doubt that Hussie would get that scientifically accurate with ending a universe though, it doesn’t seem like it would be something he could expect the average reader to know of.

With respect to the 612 stuff: That seems like something I probably knew of and forgot ... thanks! I take it 6 “sweeps” is not equivalent to 6 years, since it would make more logical sense for the Trolls to be about the same age as the kids when they start playing the game.

Ok, this is a bit of a crack theory, but hear me out: I think killalltransmen was a troll blog all along. The owner made up both the original blogger and the relatively pathetic triggershrimpdicks person traumatized by the letter Q. He (?) got bored of mockery and turned it into a legitimate blog (a better explanation of why he had the password). And then I guess he felt guilty about the whole thing and deleted. This will be my POV until someone else who knew KATM IRL proves me wrong.
