And in response, Cairngorm let out a somewhat undignified squawk before tensing up completely and falling back onto their bed with a soft thud - head luckily landing right on the pillow. For real, if their death wouldn’t be by the Lunarians, it would certainly be from the bouts of stress caused by Phos. For a moment, Cairn opened their mouth to complain and tell the other to go to their own room to sleep instead, but it was closed before a sound came out ( a sigh leaving them instead ).
They didn’t have the heart nor energy to be mad at Phos.
Instead, they chose to oh so carefully place their hand on the back of Phos’s head and play with the locks of hair there - whilst seeming somewhat sad. When Cairn finally did speak, it was in a whisper meant for Phos alone. “Just..be careful. I don’t want you to crack and shatter. And definitely not because of me.”
