“I could’ve sworn I just saw something...” Rae rubbed her eyes a few times, chuckling to herself. Maybe it was just a random passing person, or a shadow of something passing by, but she didn’t try to investigate. 

She’d worked sixteen hours straight and was still there eating her meal with them because she promised to spend an evening with them after spending an entire week neglecting her social life. “I think I’m too tired to make out anything right now,” she admitted, looking down at her untouched meal. “Forget about what I said. It was nothing.”

She had to defend her thesis in a couple of hours and Adelaide's nervousness was increasing by the minute. Did she prepare herself? Plenty. There was no possible question she had no answer to. Everything was printed out, saved as a presentation and pdf file ( and any other format you could think of ) - and still, Adelaide felt sick, her stomach was turning and she looked pale, despite the light make up she had put on. Would I be able to do it? the young woman thought to herself, barely touching her breakfast, a tiny sigh escaping her. She felt bad for worrying Jaehwan with her behavior, though her attempts at hiding turned out to be of a bigger concern than simply showing her anxiety. It seemed Jaehwan caught on quickly, thumbs gently gracing her cheeks. And then he told her she could do it, she had spent day and night working on this thesis, she was capable of proving everyone in that room she had what it takes, he believed in her abilities. He believed in her. So all Adelaide needed was a little bit ( and a lot ) of Jaehwan's encouragement, his love and support to remind her: You can do great things. And you will.

@lunaxriax “I am not pissed off at you” he noticed how annoyance in his tone could have come off that way. He could never be annoyed at others for his own stupid life decisions. Song just wished he could go back and do things differently and since he couldn’t, he felt frustrated. “I wish it wasn’t serious. But we are talking about a child I called my son. I miss him dearly and I should take your advise and approach him regardless of what happened but I am scared. Scared of his reaction. What if he hates me and want nothing to do with me? This isn’t the first time I walked out of his life”

His bed: uncomfortable. The couch: uncomfortable. The floor... A little less uncomfortable than the other two options. Jaechan was still staring at the ceiling, none of his methods to fall asleep had worked so far, and his stomach had been begging him for food around an hour ago, growling and moving nonstop. The sudden notification sound startled him even though he was waiting for a reply to his text, however, they were not who he intended to text, in fact, he didn't know who answered.

"Shi..." He almost muttered a curse, realizing his mistake: two digits in the wrong place.

Adelaide did not say that to sound smart. She and Jaehwan had a rather intriguing conversation and whenever the young woman talked about a topic she was passionate about, you could not stop her ( well, you could because she pauses as often as possible to let the other person speak ). "Hm, I agree. But think about what you just said. Not only would it be tiring, looking at it from another point of view... It reminds me of what someone told me before: If you have too many friends then the quality of all of your friendships will suffer. You won’t be able to supply the required love, care, and attention that are all necessary in order to create and sustain long-lasting good friendships," she shrugged, a small smile adorning her features. "So what I take from these wise words I've been told is, you can't be friends with everyone equally. And... oh, sorry. I didn't mean to get so philosophical. Sorry."

Of course, she had heard him, very much so but you had to expect her attention would fall on the adorable feline first before a heartfelt confession. "She's our daughter, yes.
