?? I think everyone knows, without having it explained to them, that the Hong Kong protests are not 'about' Ferguson. The point is, the two protests movements are finding common tactics and slogans to communicate a common desire for self determination. And both were met with overwhelming police force, tear gas, and beatings. Two groups of people in very different places are finding common ground in their struggles. No one anywhere is saying the HK protests are 'about' Ferguson.

maybe im assuming things, but the way tumblr has taken these things before is..well.. many people take things face-first and literally, without researching anything at all. i would not at all be surprised to see people thinking that both of the protests were linked to ferguson, honestly.
