This Nashville Hot Chicken Po Boy combines the fiery flavors of Nashville hot chicken with the classic elements of a Creole Po Boy. It's a spicy, crispy, and satisfying sandwich that's perfect for a flavorful meal.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 cup buttermilk. 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1 tablespoon paprika. 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon salt. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Vegetable oil, for frying. 4 French bread rolls. Lettuce, shredded. Tomatoes, sliced. Pickles, sliced. Mayonnaise. Hot sauce.
Instructions: Put buttermilk, salt, and black pepper in a bowl and mix them together. Put the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a different bowl and mix them together. Dip chicken breasts in the buttermilk mixture, and then coat them in flour that has been spiced. Put oil in a pan and heat it over medium-high heat. It should take about 5 to 7 minutes per side to fry the chicken until it is golden brown and fully cooked. Take the chicken out of the oil and put it on paper towels to drain. Separate the French bread rolls and toast them a little. Add hot sauce to one side of each roll and spread mayonnaise on it. On rolls, put fried chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and more lettuce. Enjoy while hot!
