okay so i babbled a lot on his timeline nd shit so i’ll do a quick rundown here if u don’t wanna read all that
basically he was born in the late 1600s straight into the life of a pirate. his father was a very well known and cruel pirate and sebastian never knew who his own mother was
u can imagine what it’s like spending ur whole life on a ship with a not so nice father. it wasn’t pleasant for sebastian and him and his father were not close whatsoever.
his father pushed him around, hurt him, screamed at him, threatened his life and sebastian sat there and took it. he was a soft soul, someone who loved those around him and just wanted to help and care for those around him. that hurt him a lot
he wore his heart on his sleeve, never fought back when his father or the crew mates were horrendous to him. however that would be his downfall
sebastian fell in love with a woman, a beautiful and striking woman he met in a port town and they fell into each other hard and fast
turns out his lover was a vampire and his father finding out wasn’t pretty. he threatened to kill her only to later find out as his son ripped his heart from his chest that she had turned him as well
sebastian turned because he loved her because they could be together forever and that blew up. she wanted his riches, his father’s riches, and once he was gone she came after him which only resulted in her death

basically he hardens after that or tries to and gets hurt more and that’s when he finally hardens
he didn’t want to be a vampire but learned to live with it
sailed the seas for as long as he could and was cruel as FUCK. became the monster his father was and he was proud of it at that time. everything had been taken from him his whole life so he wanted to take shit back

then around the 1900s he finally quits sailing and travels for a bit before settling down in lunehaven
since his sailing days has definitely mellowed out but he is not open whatsoever and will not let u get close to him.
he’s very ashamed of how he used to be so he likes to make it his mission to like. chill out vampires he comes across because too many can be savage beings
while he doesn’t like to care, he doesn’t want to see anyone making the mistakes he did in his youth when he was filled with resentment and anger that was never able to be let out

born more than 200 years ago to a family often referred to as fae royalty , magnolia was the youngest of four girls . her parents were well respected animal fairies in the fae community , and because they were so efficient at wildlife conservation , magnolia and her family were never in one place for too long , always moving wherever her parent’s services were needed .
although her parents had little interest in the business of humans or other supernatural beings , that wasn’t the case for maggie and her sisters. the four of them were fascinated with everything outside the fae world , often neglecting their responsibilities for a chance to stick their noses into situations they really had no business meddling in .
as the youngest of the family , as well as the only weather fairy of the bunch , maggie often felt like an outsider or like she had to try extra hard to fit in and prove herself . her sisters eventually gave up their childish games in favor of following the family business and starting serious pursuits as animal fairies , which only left magnolia feeling more frustrated.
when her parents retire and settle down in schiltach , germany for a quiet existence , maggie tries to grow up . at a little over a 100 years old , a more experienced weather fairy tries their best to get her to take life more seriously and accept the fact that her abilities won’t ever line up with the rest of her family’s , teaching her the value in what she can do for plant life in her environment . and for a while she’s satisfied , but there’s a part of her that’s still interested in the lives of humans and other supernatural creatures , something she’d been advised against seeing as fairies often had bad luck trying to help anyone that wasn’t also a fairy .
like any stubborn teenager , though , magnolia swore she was different . she’d discovered a passion that had nothing to do with her fairy duties , and that was matchmaking . something about love had always just fascinated her , and she thought it would be a disservice to hide her gift from the world . in a small town like schiltach , maggie knew everyone , which meant she knew everyone’s relationship statuses . at first her meddling was innocent . setting two single people up on a date , mailing anonymous love letters only to whisper to the receiver that someone else sent them . the more she thought she was helping , the more confident she got that all the warnings she’d been given were overreactions .
things take a turn when she tries setting up a married woman with a man that wasn’t her husband . maggie really didn’t see the big deal , she thought her match was much better than the woman’s current partner but what she failed to realize was that there were real consequences to infidelity in long term committed human relationships . it became the scandal of the town , and all fingers pointed to magnolia . her parent’s were furious with her , disappointed that she hadn’t given up her childish pursuits and fascination with all things outside the fae world . not really knowing how to handle the repercussions , she decided it was time to experience life on her own for a few years .

if anything, observing humans and looking after them has made him reflect on his inner self / the duty of angels. though he was created with a purpose (n only that sole purpose) he has learnt to question things more deeply from humans, and question how he can be a better self
he has def struggled with the temptations to abandon his post esp in dark times in the world, bt he continuously pushes himself to serve with good intentions and love. and it’s a promise he intends to keep

as a human, she had big aspirations. she was raised predominantly by her grandmother because her parents were always working
luella had always wanted to be a dancer, but she came from a lower middle class family and they couldn’t afford to put her in lessons. so, sometimes she would watch classes through the window
she studied hard in school and was at the top of her class, and despite never formally receiving lessons, all her years of observing classes made her a promising dancer
lu took a year off after high school to work and save money, and planned to audition for a prestigious ballet academy in europe because there were recruiters in her town
however, on the way to the audition, she died in a car accident along with her parents. a few months prior to this, her grandmother had died of old age
so, with the deaths of her and her family, it didn’t take long for her to be forgotten all together

once lu left the human world, she started to feel a lot better about herself and could say she no longer had favorites. for a few years, this worked perfectly. except the ballet dancer she had once been so close to developed an illness and passed away from it
lu was riddled with regret. she wished she had stayed close to her for the remainder of her life instead of running away. the worst part was, she knew that human felt abandoned by her
it was the first time as an angel that she felt like a failure
for a while after the death of the dancer, luella couldn’t focus properly. she began spacing out a lot, making mistakes more frequently ( when prior to this, she was the perfect example of what an angel should be ). she could not move on and started to feel like she was not fit to be an angel
as this was negatively impacting her ability to carry out her responsibilities, she pressured by the other angels to either overcome her failures or lose her status as an angel
this ultimatum made her realize she wanted to remain an angel and that she would have to get her act together to do so. for a brief moment, she contemplated giving up her status, to be able to forget it all. but when it came down to it, she didn’t want to lose the memories of all those she had crossed paths with, especially the dancer, who at least was alive in her thoughts
it was not easy to return to being the perfect angel, but she worked hard to get back to that level
eventually, she felt ready to live among humans once more. she decided to move to lunehaven for a while, though she really wants to move to paris one day. in the meantime, she has continued pursuing ballet and works as an instructor for kids
she attempts to live a quiet life, not getting too close to anyone, but it does get lonely sometimes

clara was born into a family of v strong witches/wizards. her family had always been known to be powerful, with almost all of them excelling in combat and spirit magic. clara herself had never been super interested in that side of magic, or to be more accurate she wasn’t interested in any magic really. all she wanted to do was read books and take naps and maybe hold someone’s hand.
her parents wouldn’t have had a problem if she was just interested in another type of magic but the fact that she wasn’t interested in magic at all was a big problem to them, so basically they just forced her to learn the basics of all the magic there was in hopes that maybe if they made her practise it long enough she’d develop a liking for one of them.
(she didn’t.)
but, to their delight and clara’s annoyance, when she’s ten they find out she possesses the aptitude for potioneering. since witches/wizards who had that aptitude were basically forced into the potioneering career, they were relieved they didn’t have to worry about what she would grow up to do/like anymore. clara, obviously, wasn’t so pleased with the news, but for once this wasn’t something she could just say no to, so she became a very reluctant potioneer’s apprentice.
after her first potioneering lesson, she discovers not only does she have an aptitude for it, she’s also really, really good at it. her potioneer teacher called her a genius and her family were all very proud. meanwhile clara was just trying to see what excuse she could make up to skip her next lesson.
thus we have the lazy potioneer genius. clara can brew a potion in record time and has even been able to modify some with her own ideas/effects. but she also regularly skips out on her shifts at delilah’s flowers (where she sells flowers and potions) and is often found napping when she’s supposed to be studying.
currently she’s living in an apartment (she begged her parents to let her live on her own. she said it was so she could focus on working towards being a potioneer, but really she just wanted some freedom) with her cat balthazar and perhaps a roommate.
personality.
clara has no interest or passion for magic. what she is interested in ?? romance. she loves dating, and loves love. she just wants to be kissing someone always, 24/7.
but even though she’s super into dating and being loved and being in love, she’s not good at committing to a relationship or one person. she’s very fickle, so her interests wane pretty quickly and she gets bored fast. most of her relationships have ended because she lost interest in her partner or found herself gaining interest in someone else (she hasn’t cheated but she’s come close a lot KFJSF).
her tendency to get bored easy also means that she’s constantly looking to try new fun things/activities. she’s tried pretty much everything at least once, but is still looking for new ways to entertain herself.
she also talks A Lot. will talk endlessly unless you tell her to stop. her mouth ? constantly running.
suuuuper lazy. she’ll go to work occasionally but most days she’ll either be at home with balthazar or napping under a tree. hates having to work and hates responsibilities.
is very much a go with the flow kind of person, rarely gets worked up about something unless it’s really personal ? otherwise she’ll probably just react with a shrug and a sigh.

♡ so, sua is the epitome of the urban legends about merfolk.. you know, the myths about sirens that use their enchanting voices to seduce humans. of course, merfolk can't actually seduce humans with their voices... but sua sure as hell tries. she finds humans to be fascinating, interesting, & foolish creatures, and she finds great joy in toying with them. she's the type of mermaid to flash a human a glimpse of her tail late at night before disappering underwater, just to watch them panic afterwards.
♡ that's what brought her to surface, to lunehaven. her thirst for adventure & a closer look at humans and their world. of course, she can no longer return to the sea. she harbors some regrets about leaving her family behind, but she's curious and oh-so-stubborn, so she pretends as if she doesn't care — as if she doesn't even think about the life she left behind. but deep down, she hurts. because of the exile her family and friends have shown her, she can be a bit untrusting when it comes to others — never quite opening up about her life under the sea to anyone.
♡ on top of being incredibly stubborn, she's also incredibly reckless. she loves taking risks and doing things she knows she shouldn't be doing — like exposing her tail to humans. she likes causing trouble and ruffling feathers, and she'll flirt with everyone. she likes making others flustered, and she loves attention, so she's probably hit on your muse at least three times before. she's a bit of heartbreaker, too. she gets bored easily, and likes to 'play the field', so to speak. while she means well, she can be a bit insensitive to others' feelings — but she craves attention, so she doesn't really know how to stop... nor does she know how to commit to one person. i'd love some plots where she's broken your muse's heart, or where they have a no-strings-attached type of relationship.
♡ she loves trying new things and she's determined to try almost everything possible on earth. i think she'd be rather new to lunehaven, hence her immense interest in learning about humans ? honestly, she's printed off a typical human's bucket list and is determined to try everything on it. humans truly fascinate her, and she wants to try everything they love so much. someone who's equally as interested in doing regular shemgular human stuff would make a great friend and partner-in-crime for sua !
♡ she's a singer at nightingale, and when she's not working she probably spends her nights there anyway. she's a social butterfly and i can very easily see her stationing herself at the bar, waiting for someone to chat to or flirt with. she loves to talk about anything and everything... especially interesting things she's just learned about humans.. she babbles a lot about her curiosities about humans nd things she finds interesting ! she's actually quite excitable nd passionate about it.
