seeing as you're such a fan of Disney ducks, what's your take on the new Duck Tales? Approving or critical?
Ohhh boy, here I go
I’ve watched the first look on the new Ducktales a few days ago when it was uploaded and my first impression was that I’m not very fond of the look. Or more specifically that I think the characters and their animation looks a bit cheap and unappealing at times… Also Huey, Dewey and Louie sound like grown men who try to sound like kids. I’m used to the german dub of the old series of course because I watched that as a child but there they sound like kids. And Tennant’s Scrooge sounds somewhat like an old woman at times in the new series?? Not a fan of that either. Also I had hopes Donald didn’t get his “duck” voice but a normal one for once. :I
What I’m interested to see though is the triplets having distinct personalities AND Donald actually being a part of the series!! And it looks a lot like the series will be inspired by Don Rosa’s comics.
Which is good because these stories are A+, top notch material, which also sucks because Don Rosa, as always, doesn’t get any credit or will see any penny for this, because Disney is the devil.
All in all I’m not really hyped for it, it’s more an interested and hoping indifference. :^)
