For anyone who wears the ring / upon his finger can’t be seen / by any man, however keen / his eyes, just as you cannot see / the wood when bark grows on the tree. Yvain Knight of the Lion, Chrétien de Troyes trans. Ruth Harwood Cline
[lunete, yvain, and the ring of invisibility, for @mortiscausa’s march to camelot, for the prompt ‘divine.’]
the real road trip was the friends we made along the way
i've been busy with finals season and my secret santa art, so i haven't had the time to do much else drawing-wise </3 hope you enjoy these doodles of the blorbos (featuring zorah/noir dedede because i love it to bits!! if you or a loved one has been monkey's paw'd by galactic nova you may be entitled to financial compensation </3)
there's some lore here that i will definitely be elaborating on later -- looking at you null!

Introducing... Lunette! She's been floating around in my brain for almost 10 years now, and I'm so very happy to finally bring her to life. She's a Dream Valley Vex that I dyed and painted + made the eyes and wig. I'm so so happy with her, and all that's left is finding the perfect pair of glasses for her.
Cats being instructed in the Art of Mouse Catching by an Owl - Lombard School, c. 1700, Paintings: Oil on Canvas, within a painted Lunette
"This depicts cats being taught by an owl how to hunt mice. Some theories suggest that a single owl is superior to six cats when it comes to catching mice."
Lunette is so cute!
