History Repeats Itself

I think this is the best way to start the year 2026 online regarding posting.

Sure, this comic talks about mystery gifts. Here is the plot: over 12 years ago, I received Pokémon X as a Christmas gift and my Stater Pokémon was a Fennekin called Fennec. As I was already 10 years old at the time I was gifted this video game, this means that I was old enough to become a Pokémon Trainer legally. After I had Fennec evolve into a Braixen, I obtained a Blazikenite-wielding Torchic as a Mystery Gift. During my first journey in Kalos, Fennec eventually evolved into a Delphox, but this Torchic didn't fully evolve at all because I have felt he is too cute to do so. In 6 January 2026, I was gifted Pokémon Legends: Z-A. You think I would get the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of such game along with a Nintendo Switch 2, but no, I received the much cheaper edition instead as my family is reluctant to spend money on an expensive console. Now sticking to the topic, I picked a Chikorita as a Starter Pokémon in this Nintendo Switch game as promised and I named him Geranio (literal translation: geranium) after a flower. By the time I was ready to participate in Z-A Royale, I receive a Gardevoirite-equipped Ralts as a Mystery Gift and thus named her Lucrecia. I am currently planning to fully evolve both Geranio and Lucrecia so that they can Mega Evolve.

Unevolved Pokémon introduced in Generation III wielding Mega Stones and being Mystery Gifts, the region where this event happens… Yes, there are a lot of coincidences. The differences are about the Starter Pokémon and how evolved they are at the time I obtained these Mystery Gifts. Of course, in the case of the most recent Pokémon game, a Fennekin is still missing as I also want to include one in my Pokémon party.

By the by, yesterday I updated my laptop and, when I started it up today, not only does the battery icon have a ugly-looking redesign (because it now looks like a sausage and Pac-Man if they had a baby), but the Start menu now has the annoying mobile device pane and there is no way to disable it unless I update it again. Not to mention that I am still working on a request that is another fan comic, yet I take more days to finish this one as I consider it more ambitious.

ended up doodling a bunch on a magma board and said doodle turned into This!!! i really wanted to make a piece celebrating the new year and here we are :)

this year, i had a lot of health-related setbacks, but i can't say my experience was completely soured -- i'm so lucky to be part of such a supportive art community and i'm excited to share the next steps of my journey with you all :)

i don't really know fully what 2026 will have in store, but i'm hoping things continue to get better for me -- and for everyone reading this, too!! wishing yall all the best in the new year <3

a little life update! ⋆｡°✩

hi, everyone! it's been a little while since i last posted, and you might be wondering -- why? quite frankly, college hit me like a truck XD i'm totally okay, but i've had so much work to do that i haven't had as much time or energy to focus on my blorbos -- at least, not in the form of fully-fledged art pieces, with lineart and coloring, though i've been doing lots of doodling and brainstorming behind the scenes! i'm getting into the groove of things, though, and i hope to return to posting art regularly soon.

to anyone who's sent me asks -- i didn't forget about them, i promise! i've been thinking of making updated references for my OCs to reflect some design changes i've made for them as of late, so i might wait to answer them until after i make those edits. i may also create a new art account for all of my non-fandom work -- and that might involve a name change to this blog -- but i'll continue to post about my Kirby blorbos here, the same as always! i'll be sure to let you know the details of that once i decide, and i hope you're looking forward to what's in store for Prisma and friends! ✨

went to a super fun art event at college today and we got to draw on these biggggggggg pieces of paper so i summoned every brainrot i could muster from my autistic brain!!!!

as you can see, i'm not very experienced with markers or traditional art in general, but i had so so much fun making these!!!! people really liked my ocs and even said i could make webcomics with them which made me go 🥺🥺🥺

got bit by the humanization bug yesterday, and it led to this! what spell was prisma actually trying to cast? the world may never know..

but hey, you get to see what they look like with actual limbs! how fascinating! these aren't their final (semi?) gijinka designs by any means, but it was fun to entertain what that might look like :) even if capp and null are practically halfway there already lol

i actually used to be exclusively a human/humanoid artist until i got hooked on kirby in 2023, so it was nice to go back to my roots for a moment! i wasn't planning on posting this, but considering you guys really dig my last sketch i thought you might enjoy this too!
