Signe puts her books down to the side briefly to look back at Razor. Maybe if she returns the gesture...?

"Hey little pup, you lost?"
@lupicalled: dating is hard. first you try to bite them to show you care, they don't get it. then you give them flowers, and they sneeze on you.
"is that really how dating works? are you dating someone? how do i know what flowers to give someone? oh my gosh hi, i'm sorry. i'm so flustered and i'm not even seeing anyone!"
the wolf kin is the closest anyone has ever come to discovering his true form. to drag a secret from kaeya unwillingly would always feel like uprooting a tree, difficult, and so much more effort than it was worth. even diluc, for all kaeya had disclosed to him, knew little about his past, or - the fact that khaenri’ahns were no longer human anymore, at least as far as frostwind knew.
the scar was hardly noticeable anymore, concealed amidst so many others, just the barest peek of incisor - like marks over kaeya’s gloves and into his inner arm. would it be incorrect to assume he’d caught razor staring at it ?
it was a rare that they were left alone together, diluc and thoma off to fetch more firewood, kaeya left with the pup and very little between them save for a horrid first encounter. razor was diluc’s family now, and diluc was kaeya’s so - he should at least try to be civil.
‘ here. ’ a chicken mushroom skewer cooked to perfection, prompted in razor’s direction. kaeya’s aversion to fire often meant very little cooking on his own part, but this was a meal he’d perfected. food was better enjoyed with other people anyway, in his opinion. @lupicalled.
"my hands like yours," the appendage in question is raised to his mouth, pointed teeth grabbing the tip of one finger on his glove, only to pull it off in a quick go. razor's hands aren't marred with burn scars like diluc's, marks he's seen his mentor try to stuff away between gloves when sharpening blades. wolfkin's are still marred in much the same, however, just with his element. tendrils of darkened skin creep along his palm, his knuckles, the top of his hand, all the way up into his wrist. one fractal scar in particular touches almost his inner elbow, but it's hard to see under his clothes, "teacher calls them lightning scars. you don't have to hide hands, i see them too."
" hm...? "
he blinks curiously, turning his gaze to the young man at his side--he watches intently as razor removes his glove, ruby hues carefully examining the scars etched into his skin as wolfkin speaks of them. they are like his, the same scars for the same reasons with a different look about them, and he can't help but think back to the long, painful nights he spent nursing burn scars all up and down his arms, hiding the pain and the marks from his father and brother and friends. he recalls the feeling in the pit of his stomach when he's out in the city and notices the lingering marks of past struggles peeking through gaps in meticulously tailored clothing, the itching need to adjust his sleeves and his gloves to hide his faults from those who would call him perfect.
but razor doesn't care about the uncrowned king of mondstadt, unmatched in every way. he only sees diluc, a mentor, a friend, his family, and his scars won't ever change that. a smile finds dawn's lips, soft and fond, and he reaches over to ruffle the boy's hair affectionately. " thank you, razor. old habits are hard to break... but i know i don't have to hide anything from you. i appreciate that. "

// K, see, and I HEAR you. I UNDERSTAND what it is you're trying to say, but, you see . . . if it comes down to Razor or Bennett, Benny Boy's gonna CHOOSE RAZOR. M//hyo told me this was law, this was canon. It's simply how it is, I have NO control over it, I'm SORRY ( I'm actually not. )

With permission granted, Venti hops over the small shrubs and roots, making his way over to the boy. “I heard from Lisa it had just been your birthday! I’m not always good at keeping exact time, but I still wanted to bring you something!” Yes, indeed, apples were in the bag.
“Here!” He sets the bag down before sitting across from Razor. “Aside from some food, I got you something on a bit of a whim. Now, I don’t know if you’ll like it, so it’s okay if you don’t.” In the bag, there was a container for food, apples and jerky. He’d been told the jerky was a good way of keeping meat preserved for a long time, so he hoped it tasted well enough for the wolf.
There was a small bag, though, and inside contained a small whistle the shape of a bird. “It shouldn’t be high pitch enough to hurt your ears, I hope! It’s supposed to mimic the call of a bird that is common around these parts.”

plops a newborn wolf puppy in aether's hands, "pack just have babies. watch for teeth."
Aether hadn’t really had any idea what he was following Razor for today, just that the other seemed particularly interested in having him follow him over towards Wolvendom, but more towards one of the various ponds along the winding path rather than the grand arena at the end of it. There were a great many questions that came to mind, but at the same time, there was something exciting about just experiencing it in the moment!
And what a great moment it had been - Aether thought that maybe there was something that he could help Razor with, whether it be with the pups or with the mother that was currently laying there and probably resting off the exhaustion that came with childbirth, but with the casual plop of a squirming pup right into the traveler’s hands, he ascertained that this probably wasn’t the case. Still, the ease that Razor had walked up to the mother even with the traveler in the tow - a foreign person to her by all means - and she had simply let the two of them into her space without question... it really shone a new light on the deepness of the bond between Razor and his lupicals.
“They’re so cute - agh, you weren’t kidding about the teeth though!” It was a playful little nip, but puppy teeth were sharp. Still, who could get mad at a puppy for doing just what puppies were meant to do? He laughed.
“...thank you for bringing me here. Are you trying to get them used to people?”
