SUPER LONG LORE TIME: in my AU because my little babies were cogless I feel like the cog would yes change the bot and give them an alt mode but like growth it takes more then just getting a cog, a T-cog isn't just something you add and boom instant change, I feel like as a bot progresses in life their T-cog grows with them, since my babies only got them recently without much room to actually test them out they don't actually know their alt modes or have time to really do anything other then survive, and I wanted their current personalities and mindsets to match their current designs, and I feel like the colour of a bot can also change with their T-cog 18: 18 is a blend of colours and patterns and different shapes, messily put together in a cohesive form, obviously 18 is a flier, they got wings not wheels, but no one looks like 18, even seekers have standard shaped wings and none of them had their helm shape, 18 specifically doesn't have any vents because they dont know how to let anger or frustration out, they shut down and let the heat fester and when their anger becomes too much it becomes rotted bile and hatred in the form of words too whatever poor soul decide to speak to them (usually Juncture), 18 has orange and a white because they were in charge of hazard control, the purple came from the T-cog j-Start: After Oppy took over it took a VERY long time before everyone was released of their duties as cogless workers, and an even longer time before he was able to help rebuild the work force (yes there will be work sites on the surface, no everyone didn't get a t-cog because Primus was feeling generous) J-start worked his whole life and at some point kinda liked it, he liked the repetitive nature, the lack of worry about the next day, he woke up, he worked, rations, he worked, he slept and so on, he's simple in nature and in mind, but it's too the point that he never became his own person, just copying the jargon he heard in small talk and having the need to help because its what you do to stay useful, so he's pretty simple in his design, stripped of anything that could've deviated him from being anything other then a worker, then Junko came into his life, and although he looks almost the exact same as he did when he started working he's less naive, but deep down he's just reliving what everyone else wanted to run from, he still wakes up, works, eats his ration, works and then goes back to sleep, he's not worried because to him his world changed the least
