Ender on the lure. :)
Lure flying Penelope, the prairie falcon. She’s got a long way to go before she’ll be ready to hunt anything, but she’s getting stronger each day! We might just finish this season off with lots of lure flying to build conditioning and focus on hunting next season, but we’ll see how it goes. My biggest challenge with her is getting her to accept the hood. I can get her hooded, but it’s still a bit of a fight each time. I’m considering using a hawk box with her for now and continuing hood training during the molt. That would let me focus purely on conditioning right now, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to quit the hood just yet. We’ll see. The important part is that she’s flying well and we’re gaining more confidence in each other each day! :)
