I ran on my ankle for the first time in a few weeks and it felt just fine. I ran to the same hill I sprained it during lunch today, I walked down this time :) I am really stoked it seems ok, since this tendon in my left bicep is seeming to be a real injury. It shut me down at the gym this morning, which is very frustrating. It has also made me re-evaluate my diet. I changed it a few weeks ago to be Mediterranean based and I have enjoyed it and felt really good.. I have also upped my work in the gym. However, I am only averaging between 1700 and 2000 calories a day and the real issue is about 35% of those calories are from alcohol. So I think I am not eating nearly enough and my body is breaking down because of it. I workout twice a day during the week and I am pretty active on the weekends doing outside activities. I am not a snacker, I don’t have a sweet tooth and eat really clean. It is actually going to be a challenge to up my calories from food, but I really think I need to. This week I am going to try and get at least 2k of calories from food everyday and stop the drinking, to see it will help this old bod repair.
