[[Heh! Don't blame me for your imprudence, Todd.]]
Normal Night || Jason and Roy
It was pretty early in the evening, the sun having just set, and Roy and Jason were keeping their eyes and ears open for anything weird going on in the city. This was the usual occurrence; Jason would lead Roy (and usually Koriand'r) off to something and they'd all take whoever was causing trouble down. Sometimes there was a mission, sometimes it was boring. Tonight, nothing major seemed to be going on.
"Red, c'mon. There's nothing there!" Roy whispered.

@lustrousjaybird has entered the hall of two truths.
Perhaps nothing had been as jarring as the sudden transition to the blackness that now threatened to consume the man known as Jason Todd. All around him was seemingly limitless darkness in every direction, except for the way forward. That way sported a single beacon of light, somewhere in the distance. How far away it was was unknown, but it was the only way to go.
Closer to the light, the hallway that he walked in began to take shape. Dusty sandstone floors that had seemingly not been walked in years stretched before him, while the walls revealed the faded and worn pictures of previous journeys. The entire scene felt very Egyptian, and very old. Whatever this was, it was no western or decadent reconstruction.
Eventually the hallway opened up into a well-lit room, although it was by no means any more modern than the journey there had been. Torchlight cast shadows over the room, giving it an eerie sort of glow. At the far end of the room was a monumentally large set of golden scales, as large as the room was from floor to ceiling and from wall to wall. They glistened in the torchlight with a near unearthly glow; nothing Jason Todd had ever seen would have compared.
But perhaps the strangest thing about the room was the man who sat in front of the scales. Dressed in a fine suit that would have made Bruce Wayne seem like a pauper, it seemed to clash with the antiquity that the rest of the room seemed to evoke. The man himself had dark skin, worn from years in the desert. Yet even so, he did not appear old, but in the prime of youth, yet another strange contrast to the way the scene was set.
His dark eyes seemed to bore into Jason, clearly studying and judging him. "Well now... I was not expecting a visitor. To whom do I owe the pleasure?"

"D-didn't you... used to be shorter? I get all of you bird brains confused, which one are you? Number two, three... oh I don't have time for this... no time to dawdle!"
lustrousjaybird started following you
Hello, Jason. Long time no see.

He cocked his head to the side, a hand placed on his hip as he regarded the stranger before him with a hint of suspicion. A lot of people had shown up just in the past day and Ben was starting to feel a little uneasy about it all. Who was to say that all of them were good guys? Not that this one wasn't, as far as he knew, but-
Well, he'd figure that out eventually, he supposed. He almost always did.
"The name's Ben. Ben Tennyson. And you are?"
