         LETTING OUT a soft sigh, Evie pulled her knees up to her chest with her head resting on the window. The week definitely hadn’t gone how she had planned or thought it would, but as she sat there, with her knees cradled against her chest, staring out the window from where she sat on the window seat, all evie wanted to do was just...breathe. if she were old enough she’d be sure having a drink right now, but maybe later she’d make her a milkshake. That makes her feel better. Turning her head to the side, Evie looked on as her mother approached her “Hey Mama, what’s GOING ON?”.

“Hello Lena.”

The CADMUS queen had a dainty little smile on her face as she approached the adoptive brat that her husband decided to pick up from the trash. Then, to find out that this was no ordinary brat, but one born out of Lionel’s affair.... It was easy to say that Lillian hated Lena.

She didn’t believe that the younger woman deserved the Luthor name--- it wasn’t like the younger had ever done something truly extraordinary. She was always simple, choosing cozy comfort over the pampered lifestyle that they could have.

Even Lex had abandoned her in the end, once the madness took him full circle. From being Superman’s best friend, and oh god the thought of that still made her shudder, to almost killing the alien himself. Lex had been her greatest miracle.

And now he was gone.

She needed to focus on what was left though. Perhaps there was still hope for this... This businesswoman. Okay, Lillian could appreciate that part of her at least. Perhaps she’d see the benefits, the corporal pay in getting aliens out of the way, the dental insurance. Lillian snorted at the thought of Lena’s reaction to that.

“When I talk to you, I expect to be listened to.” Lillian warned the brat. “And I expect you to listen, very carefully now dear.” She leaned forward.

An L-Corp press conference announcing the release of their newest technology would’ve been of interest to Maria regardless of who the company’s CEO was. It just so happened that, due to the presence of the aforementioned CEO, exercising her scientific curiosity wasn’t the primary motivation for Maria’s attendance. When she found an opportunity, she approached, a box in one hand containing an expensive bottle of scotch.

“Congratulations, Lena.”

her lower lip become trapped between her teeth as blue hues watched on as her wife become focused on the mission at hand, yet as troubling as the mission come Kara’s attention fixated on one thing and one thing only. how lena subconsciously handled the keyboard from gazing so intently and her mind no longer on track with the rooms conversation she closed the small space between herself and her wife to nonexistent.

bringing her gaze up to look at the screen of the monitor in front of them everyones attention fixated on the same screen the blonde brushed herself against lena’s back a knowing hum escaping her in an attempt to draw the attention of her wife without alerting those around them.
