Request: Can you do a long one shot where your boyfriend lex luthor meets your best friends Harley Quinn and the joker please??? I love your writing soo much! ♥️🃏
Warnings: 1st POV, kind of in the same tune of my previous shot ‘Sugar’ (this is probably a AU and sequel from Sugar where AU Lex doesn’t go to jail after the end of BVS)
The sun was setting, sending everything into a calming red glow. I closed my eyes, basking in the soft wind from the soft wind coming in from the open door. Lex’s arms gently snaked around my waist, resting softly at my naval. I hummed lightly, my hands resting over his. This moment was perfect, just like some sappy romance movie.
“You want to come check out a new shipment of kryptonite with me, sugar?” Lex asked, his lips ever so gently tapping against the skin of my neck.
I rolled my neck to the side, gently pushing Lex’s hands off me and just holding one “Of course”
With a skip in my step, Lex and I walked over to the helicopter waiting for us. I always loved coming to shipments; the sea salt in the air, the glow of kryptonite and the blissful feeling of sending someone to their death was my favourite. I climbed into the helicopter, Lex coming in afterwards and closing the door.
I grabbed my favourite gun from the ceiling strap, the light green word of ‘Lex’ carved into the barrel. Lex’s hand gently rested on my thigh, his thumb rubbing small circles. The flamethrower was strapped against the seat in front of me, I argued with myself about bringing it.
“Sugar, should I bring the flame thrower?” I asked, gently kissing his jawline.
Lex’s hand ran up my thigh, resting just above where I needed him most “Maybe next time, I don’t think tonights going to be that busy”
I sighed happily with my favourite gun in hand, strapping it into my belt and holding onto Lex’s arm. I let him take a few more weapons than I. I knew that he got a higher kick out of shipment day, I was more of a visual and psychological suffering kind of girl. Shoving Lois Lane off the top of sugars tower was the prime example of suffering. The absolute look of shock and horror on her face as she tipped off the edge. The look in her eyes were something I would never be able to replicate.
The view of docks came to live, getting closer and closer. Lex and I happily cuddled in the back of the helicopter, the pilot gleefully unaware to anything and everything. That’s what we paid him to do anyway.
“Best behaviour tonight, sugar” Lex warned, kissing my forehead.
“Just for you, my sugar” I giggled, melting into his touch.
The helicopter landed and Lex opened the doors. The roars of machinery and waves crashing against the dock walls clashed against the quietness of inside the helicopter. I wiggled to the edge and grabbed Lex’s hand to help myself off.
I followed the drill and stayed exactly one step behind Lex. He liked being in control, checking everything out to its full extent and leading everything without a second opinion. I stayed only one step because of how protective he was, any further and he wouldn’t be able to concentrate.
The dealer talked on and on to Lex, something I droned out as I looked high above at the darkening sky, gently prodded forwards by a guard. We walked onto the large ship, sky high with shipping crates as far as the eye could see.
“Your kryptonite is carefully hidden in the hull, surrounded by some things drastically masculine men such a Superman wouldn’t go near, such as feminie products and baby powder” The dealer spoke a bit louder, beginning to lead us down a set of stairs.
I giggled to myself. This dealer really didn’t know Superman. But that’s okay, it not like he was going to be here anyway. I carefully held onto the ledge of the stairs, the swaying of the ship catching me off guard as we went further and further down. We arrived at the bottom of the ship, the waft of baby powder filling the air.
“Your cargo is down there to the left” The dealer pointed out “I’ll leave you to it”
The dealer pushed past me and back up the stairs. I looked around, the low ceilings made me feel smaller and trapped. There was no other way to get out that didn’t involve immediate drowning. I didn’t like it one bit.
Lex went down and checked it out, yelling out a few minutes later for the guards to come. They went and I was left alone for a second. The eery droning made me feel uneasy. This feels wrong. Somethings going to go wrong. Lex came around the corner, swooping me up into his arms. My legs wrapped around him, resting my head on his shoulders.
“Lex, sugar, I think we should have brought the flame-“
A huge bang echoed above us, a smaller thunk bouncing against the roof. Gun shots. The guards slowly began turning the corner with platinum crates full of the glowing green rock. I swore loudly and jumped down from Lex, pulling out my gun. That’s when I heard it. I stopped Lex, pulling him back into me. A giggle and a pop of bubble-gum. There were two sets of footsteps going down the stairs, one light and bouncy and the other heavy and purposely loud. I knew who these people were.
“Sugar, take a step back” I grabbed his hand and took it behind me.
Lex followed my word, a rare moment of submissiveness in him. Silhouettes cast on the wall confirmed my suspicions. You could see two pigtails and a man with a cane. The girl bounced down the steps to the landing on the last corner, twisting her hair in her hands.
“Puddin, it’s not Batsy” Harley Quinn sighed heavily, before quickly perking up “Y/N baby, gimme a hug!”
Harley ran down the stairs, wrapping me in a hug. I laughed loudly, my arms going around her waist. She kissed me on both cheeks before skipping back to the infamous Joker.
“Well, well, well, What do we have here?” The Joker smirked, loudly banging his feet on each step on the word ‘well’.
“Y/N and Lex Luthor, Mr. J. No Batsy” Harley spoke up, her hand resting on the Clown Prince’s elbow.
“What are you two doing down here” He sneered, his hand trailing my jawline.
Lex pulled me into him and away from the Joker “Collecting kryptonite, don’t think that would be any of your concern since Batman doesn’t have an allergy to it, does he? Hmm…”
“You’re collecting it to use against Superman?” The Joker asked, slowly walking around and prodding the other shipping crates.
“In weapons and technology as well, not that you’d know anything about that, you abominable little clown” Lex snapped, reaching forward.
I shot Lex’s arm back, carefully keeping my grip on his. I tried hard to keep his anger under control, jealously was easily Lex’s weak point.
The Joker hissed, laughing loudly “Temper, temper, little man”
“Okay alpha males, lets collect kryptonite and go before Batsy actually gets here. There’s only one more crate left.” I snapped.
I went around the corner and down the hall. I was right, one singular crate left inside of the shipping crate. Harley appeared beside me, “Come on baby, lets do this”
Harley and I dumped the last crate outside of the helicopter, letting the guards lift it inside. The Joker and Lex stood a few feet behind us, suspiciously quiet.
I leaned over to Harely “What do you think they’re talking about?”
She giggled and loudly chewed her gum “I don’t know honey, looks like they aren’t angry anymore”
“Harls and I better go now, Batman cannot catch us tonight” The Joker nodded towards Lex, a piece of paper slipped between their fingers.
“See you soon, Y/N” Harely waved, linking her arm through her princes.
I watched them as they stepped into a car, disappearing into the traffic. I looked to Lex who focused on the paper between his hands. I came over to him and held his hand, brushing a strand of hair behind his ear.
