IMAGINE: LEX ASKING YOU, BRUCE’S DAUGHTER, OUT ON A DATE.
“Where are you going?” your father stops you before you can leave the house, and you let out an annoyed huff at your father’s question as you adjust your top. You can see his judging gaze sweep over you, and he raises an eyebrow as he asks, “Well?”
“I’m going out on a date.” you blurt, and your father blinks at you in surprise. Letting out a soft sigh, you continue, “I won’t be out late, promise.”
Bruce’s lips flatten into a line as he asks, “With who?”
You frown, fidgeting with your bag as you admit, “Uh, Lex.”
Bruce’s blood immediately runs cold. “Lex, as in Lex Luthor?”
Author’s Note: Super big thanks to @twisteddamselartwork for her kindly donation for not one, but two ship memes!! Here’s the first one!! Be on the lookout for the bonus question that I got too carried away with and thus had to create an entirely separate post for 😘 Happy reading!!
who is more likely to hurt the other?: Bruce, without a doubt. Not physically, but emotionally. It isn’t even like he intends to, but Bruce is already an emotionally stoic man. Frankly, it’s a trait that’s only gotten worse with time, alongside his emotional welfare. During the events following the Kryptonian attack, he became hypervigilant and all the more bitter and suspicious towards people and less agreeable towards those who may hold a slightly more sympathetic view towards the Superman, so if you happened to be one of those people there was a decent chance that he might coldly insult you or scold you. Of course, being that you’re his significant other, he tries to be a bit more reasonable with you than he would with others but that doesn’t necessarily do much. Post-Doomsday Attack, however, as he works toward regaining his former principles, Bruce also is working toward controlling his temper far better. He owes you that much.
who is emotionally stronger?: You’d think it’d be Bruce, but it’s honestly most likely you. (For crying out loud, the man’s response to his parents getting gunned down in front of him was to put on a bat suit, play ninja, and beat the shit out of people who wear brazen makeup and ridiculous clothes!) All jokes aside, though, the circumstances surrounding Bruce’s emotional stability is complex. Because on one hand, the fact that he’s withstood all that he has and more without collapsing in the traditional sense is pretty astounding. But on the other, enduring all that he has at the frequency with which he has, coupled with his unhealthy coping mechanisms, makes for the chance of his emotional state being a true ticking time bomb. You may not be the scarily enduring soldier of sorts that Bruce has proven to be, but you’re at least more likely to confront and sort out your feelings.
who is physically stronger?: Oh, Bruce, without a shadow of a doubt. The man has been training for ages, pushing his body to its limits to assure himself as a commendable fighter for Gotham City. Even in his older age, he doesn’t show any sign of slowing down his intense regimens: He does chin-ups with heavy weights tied to his hips, he pulls bigass truck tires, he lifts dumbbells restrained by chains to produce resistance – his 6’3” ass had better be physically strong after all that!
who is more likely to break a bone?: Despite all of the coverage that armor gives him, Bruce always manages to find a way to get a broken finger, rib, toe, tailbone, etc.
who knows best what to say to upset the other?: As stated before, Bruce isn’t exactly the best when it comes to softness all the time. When he’s in business mode, he’s better at holding his tongue because it’s what the job demands. But a both good and bad thing about Bruce being able to be himself with you is just how easy it is for his more lax nature to let something slip out and frustrate you. That isn’t to say that you’re completely innocent, however: You can say some things that Bruce finds just as hurtful (i.e. that he’s being a complete asshole of a brute, that he’s being inconsiderate, nothing he’s doing is working, etc.)
who is most likely to apologize first after an argument?: Bruce is. Even though his image will always be associated with that of a playboy (it’s hard to scrub that image off even years after the fact), Bruce still knows the right and wrong ways to treat a lady, especially the one with whom he’s in a relationship. He can get fired up at you all he wants, but he’ll hear the voice of his father in his head scolding him for being “an uppity jackass” and begin to truly weigh in on just how unimportant the argument probably was in the grand scheme of things. After he’s taken some time to cool down and think up the right words, he’ll ask if you’ll listen and gently try and explain himself and ask for your forgiveness.
Of course . . . there are some arguments between the two of you that are, regardless of how minuscule in general, feel mighty big to you both. In which cases, apologizing becomes a lot more difficult to do, even with Bruce’s typical consideration for being the bigger man. The two of you can probably go for days just ignoring one another, with you tending to sleep at your old apartment or Bruce preferring to spend his nights in the Batcave or even patrolling way past his usual hours until the sun is coming up and you’re due to be on your way to work.
It’s moments like these that require a little “nudge.” That is, if Alfred threatening to strangle Bruce or drag him by the ear as though he were twelve again counts as a nudge. In which case, it’s still technically Bruce apologizing, but it was kick-started by Alfred getting irritated by watching the both of you silently squabble like children. He’s done his time raising wee ones: Unless you’re planning on bringing a Wayne heir into the mix, he’s not going to be dealing with two big children! He is firmly Done™.
who treats who’s wounds more often?: You barely do anything warranting wounds to begin with, so it’s easily you who treats Bruce’s wounds. Thankfully (though perhaps more worryingly), Bruce is so used to being busted up all over that he barely flinches through the entire ordeal, making him the perfect wound patient.
who is in constant need of comfort?: Don’t be fooled by his cold, independent exterior: Bruce is in desperate need of comfort, far more than he would ever readily let in on. He needs it on all three levels: Physical, mental, and emotional. While Bruce isn’t what many would consider touch-starved (after all, all those women who came before you sure were rather handsy with him), he’s been starved of touches that communicate genuine affection; an intimacy no one-night stand or even year-long fling could conjure up to the fullest extent that you can. Mentally, Bruce is canonically described as “morally bankrupt” – and who could blame him!? He’s been at this essentially thankless job for decades, becoming more and more exhausted to the point of cutting corners to assure that the people he puts away stay away (or, in the cases of those branded, down). With the things he’s seen and done, the things he must live with the consequences of, it’s a surprise Bruce hasn’t had a complete mental breakdown at this point and forced himself to check into a rehabilitation center to calm down.
Linking with these things are his emotions: Bruce has trained himself to be a stoic of sorts, and isn’t too great at expressing emotions beyond collectiveness and anger. As a result, he tends to bottle up a lot of his real thoughts and feelings and it’s sort of corroded him from the inside out along with the passage of time. He desperately craves constant relief in the form of gentle touches or speaking his own truth to the fullest extent that he can. And you would gladly help him with those things – if only he would just admit to it more often.
who gets more jealous?: Honestly, the both of you tend to display traces of jealousy. Even though Bruce has put his playboy days behind him, labels are sticky and therefore are difficult to shake loose. As a result, some women still haven’t quite gotten the picture that he’s perfectly happy in a committed relationship with you. And honestly, you try to remember that last part. You really do. But when you accompany Bruce to a gala and see those socialites gathering around him, smiling with those pearly whites and fluttering their mascara-caked lashes as they press their breasts against his arm in ways so obvious that a person on the other side of the room could feel them . . . you just can’t help it! Thankfully, Bruce is pretty good at reading you and can essentially sense your frustration. He has no qualms with calmly excusing himself from the women’s presence to take you elsewhere.
This calm and collected appearance also accompanies Bruce when he’s the one experiencing jealousy, though it’s far less amicable. Unless you were originally a part of Gotham’s elite, it’s very unlikely that you’re familiar with these sorts of events. This sort of innocence coupled with how dolled up you look tends to make you catch the eyes of sleazy attendants whom Bruce is all too willing to keep you out of reach of. Unfortunately, with the crowds and people constantly stopping Bruce or pulling him to the side to talk or be interviewed or establish a business connection, it would only been a matter of time before the two of you became separated. Almost immediately, like piranhas to an unsuspecting animal, the previously mentioned sleazeballs would approach you, offering you drinks, eyeballing you as one eyeballs a tender porterhouse steak.
Thankfully, this predicament doesn’t last long – the shadow of your towering boyfriend is cast upon them, brightened by the glint of his smile (which you almost swear has a sort of menacing hint to it). Once the pests bug off, Bruce takes extra care to assure that you don’t venture too far away from where he can see you and make sure that you aren’t getting harassed.
The truth of the matter is that while many may consider Bruce to be a catch, he places your value above his own. He’s grown too accustomed to your presence to suddenly be without it. And even though he knows you’d never go for any one of these creepy, arrogant asshats, some part of him still fears the possibility of you somehow uncovering somebody better than him. Which brings us to . . .
who’s most likely to walk out on the other?: All things considered, you. Bruce is a difficult man to be with, even without taking his moonlighting job into account. On his own, he’s an often aloof, very busy man who’s developed a bit of a drinking problem over the years. But then you add in the fact that he’s the Bat of Gotham and everything gets a lot more complex: The long hours, constantly keeping secrets “for your safety”, the fact that your life is now even more in danger than what it already was by just being with a billionaire . . . It could be overwhelming for anybody. Dating a vigilante, no matter their abilities or resources, is not for everybody. And the sad truth is that if it ever gets to a certain point, it may prove not to be for you.
who will propose?: Bruce does. Honestly, deep down he sort of wishes you would, but he also understands that he doesn’t exactly communicate “I want to genuinely settle down with somebody and I want that somebody to be you”, what with his philanderer past still wisping about on his association (plus, being a vigilante who honestly can die at any moment does little for your confidence in his desire to wed). However, you’d be surprised to find that marriage is something Bruce has thought about more than you assumed. Certainly, the two of you had discussed it before, but never to the extent that Bruce implies he’s been thinking on it for.
He wants to connect your name with his, to show the world who he’s with and vice-versa, but on a level that states commitment more than moving out to his place in the middle of nowhere could. On top of this, from a slightly more business standpoint, Bruce just wants to make sure that you’re taken care of in the event of his death. As soon as the events involving Steppenwolf have been settled, he wastes no time getting ready to pop the question. The only thing stopping him from marching right up to you, still damp from the much-needed shower, and bluntly going, “Marry me? I nearly died today and maybe it’s the adrenaline still in my system but I just really think now’s the time to tie this down” is that Alfred dragged him to the side for a talking to. (Though, if such a brusque proposal is more your bag, you can fuss at Alfred’s sabotage later.)
What he winds up going for is renting one of the finest restaurants on this side of the Gotham-Metropolis Bay just for the two of you. If we’re being perfectly frank here, a man with Bruce’s financial status could easily afford to do a lot more for his proposal. Sometimes showy like establishing an entire festival in your honor. But he doesn’t: He just wants to keep it as simple as possible, as intimate as he can. Besides, he’s honestly still a little sore from Russia; he can’t have the paparazzi or other prying eyes looking in on such a life-changing moment, now can he? You initially think that maybe this is a celebratory dinner, considering the mission was a success and he didn’t die. However, this makes you wonder why he’s not spending it with the newly found group; after all, all you were able to do was assist in the Batcave here and there, pose as a superior-than-Bruce host. Little things. So why was he spending this with you – Oh.
As Bruce lowered himself down to one knee before you, you finally understood why the only person he wanted to be with after the incident was you.
You’re not sure how the news was able to spread to fast (maybe somebody Snapchatted from the kitchen), but you frankly didn’t care. Not when a small group of cameramen and women gathered outside of the eatery and began barking questions at the two of you, not when the engagement was suggested as a rumor by that evening’s late-night talk show, not when your coworkers gathered around you asking if it was true the next time you came into work.
All you needed to show was the ring on your finger. Martha Wayne’s ring had been mangled in the heat of the fire that consumed Wayne Manor, but Bruce couldn’t bring himself to part with it. But luckily, by combining it with a newer metal and placing the newly conceived ring on the finger of his fiancée, it appeared he’d never have to part with neither the heirloom or you.
who has the most difficult parents?: Yikes.
who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public?: You do. Bruce doesn’t mind light PDA, he just doesn’t really initiate it unless it’s at a gala (“Gotta feed the damn paparazzi,” he mutters, though he won’t deny enjoying the contact with you). You like holding his big, calloused hand. It makes you feel nice and safe.
who hogs the blankets?: You do. Bruce is a big, walking bag of heat and often sleeps in next to nothing – a ballsy move for somebody living in a house that’s 98% glass. As such, the covers are typically all yours, something which you take full advantage of.
who gets more sad?: Both of you do, but it’s easier to tell with you. You haven’t trained yourself to express an air of calm the way Bruce has; even when you try to hide the feelings of dread and worry that you bottle up every time Bruce goes out on patrols, or displays mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion, the man can tell that they’re there. But Bruce is the one actually enduring these things, and he’s been going through them for a long, long while. By the time of the events surrounding his battle with Superman, Bruce was essentially depressed at the notion that all of his work towards a better, brighter future had been for naught. However, he doesn’t translate his sadness very well; usually it comes out in the form of aggression, the most of which he takes out on perpetrators.
who is better at cheering the other up?: It’s kind of weird between the two of you but to anyone who knows Bruce, they would be able to tell that you make him feel a whole lot better than what he normally would be. He doesn’t smile a whole lot for one reason or another, but sometimes just hearing you talk about your day as though you belong to a normal relationship, or seeing you wiggle around in one of his button downs (of which you drown in) is enough to crack a smirk out of him. And let’s be real: A smirk to Bruce is like a huge grin on regular people.
who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes?: You don’t really slap him when he makes a joke, either because Bruce’s joke are silly but in a different way or just because it’s not really in your nature to. You prefer to squeeze his arm instead.
who is more streetwise?: Bruce. Don’t let his status as the Prince of Gotham fool you – this man has had to learn all that he could about seedy urban underbellies. The man attends underground fight rings for God’s sake!
who is more wise?: You are, at least in the way that you take more time to consider all the options or potential circumstances. Bruce is mighty gung-ho for a man his age.
who’s the shyest?: Definitely you! It was a wonder you were even able to talk when you first met Bruce. You’ve gotten a bit better, but you still have a slight tendency to cling close or even try to hide behind him whenever he’s approached by other high society figures. He doesn’t mind it much and actually finds it quite cute. He just worries that this will make you even more easy to be taken advantage of.
who boasts about the other more?: Bruce does, though not often. It’s not that he isn’t proud of you (far from it; the man simply adores you), it’s just that he prefers to keep his private life exactly that: Private. This may be ironic considering that the man has a history for flaunting himself and that his decision to reconstruct a home resulted in a house made out of glass but remember: That glass house is in the woods, way out of city limits. Even when being showy, there’s an air of limitation to how much people get. Plus, it’s not as though there are many opportunities for Bruce to bring you up within reasonable conversation: The League keeps in contact regularly (in fact, Arthur seems to prefer communicating with you than with Bruce, much to the latter’s ire), leaving no real reason for him to bring you up to them. And Alfred already sees you as his daughter-in-law before marriage is even considered as a possibility; in short, he doesn’t need Bruce to boast about you, he’s practically trying to sell you to Bruce as a worthy mate.
At most, this sort of situation will likely pop up during conferences or when Bruce is meeting with CEOs from other companies looking to partner up with Wayne Enterprises. Maybe during lunch or dinner, some of the honchos will talk about their women at home, maybe jab a joke or two at her expense. But when Bruce is asked about you, he keeps it brief but makes it very clear that he has no intention of making jokes about you. How could he when he finds that there’s so much more to crow about? He’s got a devoted woman who loves him for him, who makes him smile, who makes coming home a lot easier and life less lonely.
“Plus, I’m pretty sure she could cook a better blackened catfish than this,” he chews thoughtfully before popping another piece into his mouth. And that was the end of that. If he had less control over himself, he just might’ve gone on a bit more about you, but frankly he wants to be out of this thing and back home to you as soon as possible.
who sits on who’s lap?: Bruce is a 6’3” pile of muscle and meat: I sincerely hope you don’t plan on having this man basically terminate you lap by sitting on it. But in all seriousness, this man loves having you sit on his lap, especially after a long day at work when he can just wind down and breathe for a little while. (Plus, on a naughtier note, it really plays into his daddy kink if the mood is just right.)
request: none. short rambling about seeing Lex again after he escapes from jail
warnings: 2nd post-credit scene of justice league spoilers????, language, sexual themes
notes: lex looked so damn fine in that scene that if i could, i would include a photo
I took in a deep breath as I felt the much-wanted sensation of his large hands running along my waist as he walked past. He was gone for so long I had begun to think he would be in there forever.
He stood with his arms out, his deep eyes slowly looking up and down my finely dressed figure “Mmm, how I’ve missed you, darling”
I stepped forward, my hand running down the fresh, perfect suit of his. Looking him up and down, his purple suit sat on him like it was for him and only him. Each place sat correctly and hung in the correct places. The ocean behind him matched his swirling eyes. The glittering lights of Gotham matched the ones in his own.
“I dont know” I teased, biting my lip, “I think I might have missed you more”
“As much I would love to praise your body like a believer of gods, we have business to attend to” Lex clapped his hands together, gently guiding me to the white leather couch.
This couch looked over the back of the yacht, allowing the picturesque view of everything.
“What are we celebrating?” I asked, my fingers gently tracing up and down his forearm.
“Celebrating God’s return out of the ground and into the sky” He smirked, his hand resting upon my knee “We just need a few more friends before the party gets started”

He smiles at you and answers, “Sure. What do you want to do?”
You thought for a moment, where can we go?
“Um, anywhere? I guess. It doesn’t matter to me I just don’t want to be home.”
He nods in understanding and turns to grab his bicycle. “Well hop on.” He then straddles his seat. You look at him, dumbfounded. “Wait, what?” You were caught off guard of by that.
He gestures to the handles of his bike with a nod. “Get on. I promise you won’t fall.”
You stood there with a raised brow while eyeing the bike in uncertainy, not sure if he was serious.
“Are you for real? Is that legal?” You ask.
He shrugs his shoulders. “I don’t know but I’m willing to find out.”
Unsure but excited you take a look around at the people before walking over to Clark’s bike and climbing onto the handles. He holds out his hand and you take it for support.
“There you go.” He says; “Put your feet on the pegs.”
You do as he says then he grabs hold of your waist and leans you back against his chest. You were flushed against him, feeling his warm breath down your neck.
“I got you.” He speaks lowly. His mouth just mere centimeters from your ear. By now your cheeks were definitely a different shade and you were hoping he can’t see from where he’s at.
“Alright here we go. Hold on.” He stands on the pedals as he pushes, making sure you were leaning back on him. Feeling his warmth made your heart flutter, this was fun. You were smiling and so was he as you passed people and the wind started to pick up.
“Whoa! Clark! Hey!” You shouted, whole body tensed and trying to stay balanced.
“I got you Y/n,” he says cooly with a smile, leaning forward more so you can use his shoulder to lean back on
You couldn’t believe what you were doing; here you were on the handle bars of Clark’s bike while he sped through downtown Metropolis during rush hour and both of you didn’t seem to care. Though people of all kinds, from having baby strollers to other cyclists, jump out of the way before you two could plummet into them.
“We’re gonna crash into something,” you yelled but it started to turn into a giggle as you were enjoying yourself not feeling any danger at all, it’s like Clark himself was your safe point.
“I promise you we won’t,” he laughs back, enjoying seeing you smile and laugh. Just as he said that he didn’t notice that the street you two were headed towards had turned green and cars began to move through.
His eyes and yours went wide when you both were about to cross over the edge of the sidewalk until Clark braked hard sending you flying towards oncoming traffic.
You panicked and closed your eyes, throwing your hands forward to break what ever will hit you but nothing did. Slowly your eyes open and you were still safely on the sidewalk, then you felt a warm arm wrapped around your middle. Your head turns to see Clark holding you against him and his bike thrown back a few feet from you two.
“I got you,” he whispers still holding you to him.
“How did you do that?” You ask, trying to figure out how he had time to jump off the bike, throw it to the side and manage to catch you even though you were sent flying.
“Adrenaline, I guess.” He shrugs his shoulders, shaking off how fast he was to save you. “Are you okay?” He asks
You nod, still feeling shaken about the situation. “I’m good.” Your voice squeaked a little at the end. His eyes scan your face, making sure you were actually okay then he gave a guilty look. “Okay. I’m sorry about that. I wasn’t paying attention. It won’t happen again, ever.”
Tucking your bangs behind your ear, you shake your head. “Don’t sweat. We’re both okay, that’s all that matters.” You smile at him so he knew that you meant it and once he did, both of you continued on foot to a unknown destination.
You two were taking a stroll through the quiet side of the city, away from busy streets and crowded sidewalks. It was peaceful, the sun just started to set, leaving a warm glow of yellow and pink. The air was cool and the crickets began to chirp.
“So how’s life been? I haven’t seen you for awhile.” You point out to Clark. A small grin appears on his lips as he looks down at you;
“It’s been good. Just busy with work. You?”
You shrug. “Same as always only now I have to start applying for jobs in the city and get started on my life.”
He agrees with a nod of his head. “Are you excited for graduation?”
“Yes!” You answer immediately with a enthusiastic tone. Your child like behavior of excitement made him giggle.
“Are you going?” You ask turning and walking backwards behind him.
“Of course,” he says. “Why would I miss something so important to you.”
His answer made you smile. “Thanks Clark. And Lois is going of course?”
“Uh,” he begins. You pause in your tracks at his answer.
“’Uh’ what?”
His mouth tightened into a thin line then curved, followed by his eyes making a ‘not so sure’ look. “She might be out of town around that time.”
You took in a deep breath, not liking that. “You’ve got to be kidding me?” you said in a exasperated tone, slouching your body. “She promised me!”
“Hey but I’ll be there. That’s something.” He shrugs, not sure what to say.
He was right. He’s your best friend and your go to person when you need to talk to someone and never has he rejected you so this was something.
“You’re right. As long as you’re there I’ll be okay.”
At your words he gives a warming smile, then out of nowhere a loud grumble emerged from your body. Clark raises his brows then laughs, “Okay so now that we got that out of the way let’s get you something to eat.”
Red cheeks, you agreed with a quick nod as you walked side by side with him with your hands over your stomach.
Luckily for the two if you, there was a pizzeria near by just around the corner, it was small but had a home feeling to it. It stood out like a sore thumb; the lights buzzed and flickered and only a few people were working including the manager; he was a nice man, he complimented how good you two looked together as a couple. ‘I can see the romance burning between you two!’ He said in his native tongue, his son had to apologize with an embarrassed look when you clarified to them that you and Clark were just friends.
After they left to the back to take care of your order you and Clark took a seat at the only table there with two chairs that sat at the corner. It was small but then again this was a ‘go to and leave’ kind of shop; you get your food and walk off.
Poor Clark, he was a big guy so it was amusing seeing him keep shifting to get a comfortable position.
“Do you want to trade spots? I can fit in that corner.”
“No. No. No” he kept saying. “I’m okay.”
After another two minutes of seeing him keep changing positions you sighed with a shake of your head. “That’s it, we’re trading. Get up Kent.”
He slouches his body onto the seat, feeling defeated and got up so you can sit down. “Better?” You ask seeing him not move so much in his seat.
With red cheeks he nods, “Yeah. Thanks Y/n.” He says sheepishly.
“What would you do without me Clark?” You said leaning back into your seat and crossing your arms, smiling at him.
“Honestly, I don’t know.” He answers leaning forward and placing his elbows on the table.
“Me neither...” you say quietly to yourself, wondering if you’ll be able to ever get over him.
Silence settled between you two, both thinking of the same thing without the other one knowing it. Until the son approached your table with a large pizza cluttered with olives, mushrooms, spinach and pepperonis. He then settled two plates and said he’ll be back with your drinks.
The smell hit your nostrils and you hummed, eager to dig into the Italian delicousy. “Whoa there tiger,” Clark cooed, seeing your hunger rising as he set your plate and his.
You didn’t listen and grabbed a slice from the tray, strings of melting cheese trailed over the table, light coat of grease over the pie. It looked beautiful to you.
The first bite was hot and full of flavor, you didn’t care that it was burning your mouth, you were just really hungry. Clark also was stuffing his face and taking in the deliciousness.
After a few slices you two sat back with fully bellies.
“That was needed.” You huffed out. Clark hummed in agreement then he suddenly burped loudly, you two were quiet then you smiled at him but then you burped loudly too.
Quickly you covered your mouth and looked at Clark in embarrassment, a smile slowly crept on his lips and he started laughing, you shortly joined in. Tears streaming from your eyes and stomach starting to feel sore from so much laughing.
After a few more moments of laughter it quieted down and left you two to silently stare at each other.
Clark watched you with admiration in his eyes, you were the perfect girl to him and though there was flaws, that is what made you perfect.
He opened his mouth to say something, “Y/n?”
Your eyes looked to him and he couldn’t help that gaze you would give him every time he called for you. “Yeah?” You asked with a tinge of a smile on your lips and a little of curiosity in your voice.
He took in a deep breath, careful of his next words. “I have to tell you something..” his voice trailed off. Your heart sped up a bit, what did he want? Is it about the other night?
“Listen Clark if you’re still on about what happen at the park--it’s okay. I understand. You don’t need to keep feeling guilty about it.” You reached for his hand and rubbed his knuckles gently with a soft smile.
He returned one back but he shook his head, “No there’s more to that. I don’t know how to tell you this--”
“--Then don’t. Wait until you’re absolutely ready but for now can we just enjoy this night?” You look to your side at the quiet night. He stared at you and nodded, “Of course Y/n. I’m sorry.”
“You can apologize by walking with me.” You stood and held your hand to him.
He took it and stood walking with you to his bike, he grabbed it and you wrapped an arm around his to lean against him as you two walked together.
“It’s nice right now.” You said leaning your head on his arm.
He nods in agreement looking up at the white sparkles in the black sky, “It sure is.”
A tear drop of water landed on his cheek making him wipe it off. “Looks like it’s going to rain.” He pointed out right before more drops of water started to come down.
“Damn, my camera.” You sigh as you rushed for cover under an awning.
The calm rainstorm cornered you two, unable to get anywhere without risking getting soaked.
You opened your camera bag to make sure none of your equipment was damaged.
“Is everything okay?” Clark asked over the storm. You give him a thumbs up as you continued to fiddle through the lenses and cables. “So far looks like everything is okay.” You answer.
“That’s good. I’m glad. Sorry about the storm.” He gestures his his chin.
“You kidding?” You scoffed at him as you zipped up your bag and put it down where it was safe. He looked at you.
“Rain storms are the best!” You shout and darted out to the empty streets. Spinning around the puddles with your arms above your head.
Clark smiles softly.
“C’mon Clark! Not afraid of a little water are you?” The teasing in your tone caused him to raise a brow at you.
“It that a dare, (Y/n)?” Your name resonates from his cool deep voice.
You lick your bottom lip and giggle a bit, knowing full well what you just started.
With narrowed, predator like eyes not leaving you he pushes himself off the wall and lifts the strap of his bag from across his chest and settles it down next to your camera bag. He then proceeds to start walking from the warmth of under the awning and towards you.
Your feet start to slowly back yourself away, ready to run the other way from him. His long legs carried him with only a few lengthy strides and he as only a few feet from you.
You zipped off, both of you running around trash cans and trees on the sidewalk, you used every possible obstacle you can to slow him down but somehow he was more cunning and quick.
You smiled and laughed, able to just slip his grasp, feeling his finger tips just grazing your arms and slightest tugs of your shirt.
When you looked back you didn’t see him until you ran right into him, there he wrapped his arms firmly around you and he spun you around.
You yelped at the surprise, placing your hands on his shoulders.
Slowly he stopped and you two settled against each other, both breathing hard from running around and then you started to shiver.
“You’re cold,” he said with concern, feeling his arms tighten a bit to bring you closer.
“I-I’m fine.” You smiled up at him.
The street light from above highlighted the droplets on your plump lips. His eyes cast down at them and you noticed, one of his hands found they’re way to the back of your head and held you in place as he slowly closed his eyes and brought his face closer to yours and paused.
“Clark....” you said in a sweet whisper, urging him to go further with his actions, your hands gripping the collar of his shirt.
He grinned in response, pleased with your reaction and grazed your lips with his. Just that teeniest, tiniest touch set your skin ablaze, your heart was in your throat and you couldn’t breath but none of that mattered, what matters is this moment.
One of your hands cupped his cheek, as he continued the tease, he wanted to remember this as you.
His lips were soft just like you imagined, his taste was sweet and even in the cold rain you felt the heat from his body and his mouth was an even higher temperature.
His tongue grazed your bottom lip, begging for entry and you obliged. He indulged in your soft touch, holding you closer to him, afraid that something might pull you away.
The kiss was hot and wet, exactly how you pictured it would be.
You two pulled away, faces inches from each other. A wide smile appeared on both your faces.
“I’ve been wanting to do that for a long time. I’m in love with you (Y/n).” Clark said with a hoarse voice. There. He said it. He finally fucking said it.
You let out a shaky laugh, keeping your eyes closed. “Fuck. I’ve always wanted to say that to you. Guess you beat me?”
His then opens his eyes in shock. “Really?” A hopeful tone.
You nodded then a phone rang.
You both look to your bags.
“Sounds like yours.” You said.
“I’ll check it later. Probably Louis.” He shrugged off looking back at you.
Then realization dawned on you. Quickly you pushed yourself away from him and covered your mouth with your hands.
“What?” Clark asks puzzled. “What is it? What’s wrong”
“This is wrong. Oh this is wrong on so many levels! What am I doing?!” You shout walking to your bags.
“I’m so sorry Clark! I shouldn’t have done that!” You then proceed to take out your phone and message Bruce to pick you up, he replies quickly that he’s around the area. You turn on your phone gps signal for him to find you.
“What? What are you talking about?” He asks quickly as he grabs his bag and bike.
“This was so wrong. I knew it! You’re so stupid (Y/n)!” You shake your head as you continue to walk away from him.
“(Y/n)! Please! Talk to me! Please!” He begs as his softly grabs your arm. He turns you around but you kept your head down. “No this is wrong.”
He cupped your cheeks to face you to him and he saw the tear trails. “Did I do something wrong? I’m sorry if I did.” He was worried and confused, what happen to the happy moment?
You cried more and just shook your head. “I’m horrible. Louis is a good friend how can I do this to her!”
He furrowed his brows for a moment to think and then put the pieces together. She thinks he’s with Louis.
“I’m sorry! I overheard you guys a couple weeks ago in the copying room and you confessed your feelings to her and I just come in wrecking it all! I’m so sorry!” You slipped from hi grasp, just in time for Bruce to pull up around the corner.
Holding your bags close to you you kept our head dipped as you ran to the passenger side and got into the car.
Clark watched like a fool, letting you slip again. He confessed but he didn’t think to clarify with (Y/n) about Louis.
Now she knows so what will happen?
He put his head down, the rain now slowing down to a mild sprinkle. He stood in the empty street, jaw clenched.
A smile crept to his lips as he also remembered that you too confessed to him.
“I might have a chance with her.” He said to himself.

prompt(s): Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) x Reader? The reader is at a party similar to Lex's in BvS and they are alone
masterlist
Despite the chatter, music and overall tight space of the party, you and Diana find yourselves alone and undisturbed in the far away corner of the room near the balcony. The chilly breeze of the night picks on the back of your neck and tickles your tights as a group of people emerge from outside. The door shuts behind them. Bored at staring blindly at the guests, you turn to the woman beside you – she stands with her head held high and quickly sips on her champagne, a lengthy, almost a meter, of cold space between the two of you. You note the traces of her red lipstick on the glass – it faintly glimmers in the light – and your heart aches. Does she not feel comfortable standing close to you? Perhaps your previous confession was unwarranted. Unrequired love is the bitterest thing in the world.
You fight to hold in the somber look but your eyes betray you. Silently you look down into your empty glass. Perfect, now not even alcohol can dull the pain. Perhaps you should leave and go down your sorrows by the bar? The idea sounds more and more appealing as minutes tick by. You take in a breath to steady yourself. It feels strange: you and Diana had been so close, from the very first time you met her you knew you’d be great friends.
You had to go and ruin it all, didn’t you?
You are ready to take the first step into a shattered and broken heart but her hand on yours stops you. It burns. You turn to face her and your heart skips gleefully when you find those adoring chocolate eyes staring directly at you. Her grip, first tight and somewhat uncomfortable softens, her fingers slowly gliding from the bone of the wrist and falling in between yours. She squeezes your hand. You blink.
Is this a silent confirmation? Does she return your feeling? You ponder, though your throat is too dry to ask. Perhaps she sees the confusion in your eyes because a tender slime pulls on the corners of her lips and her eyes twinkle. She leans in, barely though, but close enough for you to hear her clearly, “I wasn’t sure. But now I am.”
As of late, life is like a super weird, badly written fan fiction... And I mean a Ben & Henry fan fiction...
4 (or was it 5?) days after Ben is first seen in public with Lindsay, Henry is seen in public with Lucy.
Every now and then days after Ben is seen vacationing or hanging out with Lindsay, there are Henry and Lucy sightings or sketchy Instagram photos...
And yesterday the internet was full of photos of Ben and Lindsay being all affectionate on their date... And guess what? Photos of Henry and Lucy's date night suddenly popped up... Holding hands. That's the first of any affections between them we've seen.
Is there some kind of competition between these two on who gets the most attention? 😂😂
Mind you I'm half asleep right now so I can't be bothered to match timelines but if someone were to do it you'd get what I mean...
Oh boys... I thought BvS is over?
PS: I'm not hating on their relationships. I'm just randomly amused.
Gotham, at night, was marvellous. From the roof of one of the highest buildings, in which you were perched, you could see a myriad of little lights forming a confused pattern of the city. It was a real pity that most of the people in Gotham were corrupted or crazy. Well, that included you.
You escaped Arkham two weeks ago after being thrown there by your favorite vigilante: Batman. Let’s just say you and Batsy loved to prod each other. And you were waiting for him, tonight.
“ Batsy! ” when you saw a large and dark cloak coming down from the sky you jumped on your feet, giving the masked man a sweet smile. “ I was waiting for you. What took you so long? You know I don’t like to wait. ” you pouted.
“ (Y/N). ” he said your name with such hatred and annoyance that an almost sadistic smile grew on your red lips. You made a few step towards the hero, silent as a cat and elegant like a real lady.
“ Oh, come on now, don’t be like that! You know that I don’t like when you are all angry and annoyed. Why don’t we share a simple conversation for once? You always try to put me in that ugly little cage, but you always fail.”
It was almost imperceptible, a sharp hiss and a metal reflection. A batrang came flying in your direction but you were fast enough to catch it between your fingers. Thank you metahumans powers. You saw Batman’s jaw clench.
“ This time I’ll catch you once and for all and you will rot in an Arkham’s cell, where you belong. ” you slowly backed away, a smirk growing on your lips. When you reached the cornice, you stepped onto it, never breaking eye contact with Batman. You kept the batrang between your fingers while you let yourself fall completely free backwards.
Sorry for not posting today. Been a long day. But here you go~ I'm still taking requests. :) (Also I could not find a better gif for Lois and Clark. Sorry. 😶)
