Books - I luv them

Alright, so the Parade Mag released their 125 Best Romance Books of All Time list, and I was ecstatic to see so many books that I have and do love on the list.

From books I read and re-read over and over as a teen such as Pride and Prejudice. As well as some of my all-time favorite books Love in the Time of Cholera, Outlander, and Wuthering Heights.

The list would not have been complete without some of the books that I have loved more recently such as Rainbow Rowell's Eleanor & Park, Casey McQuiston's Red White and Royal Blue, and Alexis Hall’s Boyfriend Material.

It of course includes so many others I have yet to mention of the 50-something that I have read off the list such as John Green’s The Fault in Our Stars, and so many others that were already on my To-Read list, and many more that I have now added. This list is truly the best gift to all readers - so go enjoy it!

Author:F. Scott Fitzgerald

F. Scott Fitzgerald is known for his turbulent personal life and his famous novel The Great Gatsby.

Seeking a change of scenery to spark his creativity, in 1924, Fitzgerald moved to France, and it was there, in Valescure, that Fitzgerald wrote what would be credited as his greatest novel, The Great Gatsby.

The Great Gatsby is considered Fitzgerald's finest work. Although the book was well-received when it was published, it was not until the 1950s and '60s, long after Fitzgerald's death, that it achieved its fame as the proficient portrait of the "Roaring Twenties," as well as one of the greatest American novels ever written.

After The Great Gatsby got published, his life began to take a negative u-turn. His drinking problems began to unfold again, and his wife was also diagnosed with several mental health issues. 

  He began work on another novel, The Love of the Last Tycoon, in 1939, and he had completed over half the manuscript when he died of a heart attack on December 21, 1940, at the age of 44, in Hollywood, California.

What is so awesome about Christmas this year is that...

I somehow managed to convince three separate people the best gift for me is a Chapters gift certificate. Not intentionally or by them asking but simply because they know how much I Love to read and know how much money I can spend there and know how much I would Love that as a present. And damn they are right. I was excited to get three of them totally 125 bucks worth of books... that for me is a good haul at Chapters since my usual trips cost me a little over a hundred.

Best present ever as far as I am concerned.

I went out right away and got some. But not the best time of year to go during Boxing Day... slim pickings... which means I still have some left to go again!
