Re-reading boyfriend material by Alexis hall- because I’m on a fluffy British romance kick or whatever, sue me- and if you’re not familiar, it follows a guy who’s father abandoned him at age 3 who comes back when he’s 28 to tell the main character he’s got cancer and wants to make amends.

I conveniently forgot about that part, because the first time I read it was before my father who abandoned me as a toddler came back into my life trying to make amends, and I made the choice (not so much a choice- he lived a state over and I had a sick toddler to take care of. not that I fought too hard to make it work) to let him die without meeting me. A bit more of a difficult read thus time around.

i’m really sorry, but boyfriend material part three won’t be posted today.

i’ve been having some proofreading issues, and because i’m a little bit of a freak when it comes to posting, i really don’t want to rush this part just to get it out on time.

i want part three to be good. like, actually good. i want it to feel finished, polished, and worthy of the story instead of posting something i’m not fully happy with.

so i’m going to take a little more time with it, and hopefully i’ll be able to post it tomorrow, or sunday at the latest.
