MONTY:
has diagnosed ADHD
definitely punk but likes to dress more downtown/street boy, grunge & sometimes soft boy
highkey owns suspenders
in a QPR with Edgar (they cuddle and def give forehead kisses)
head of the film club and is obsessed w making films (ironically this is coming from my joys and not putting some AJ into him)
he/him transgender monty :))
when monty was coming out, his fav film was the Baz Luhrmann Romeo & Juliet (mostly bc he got huge gender envy from Leonardo DiCaprio) so thats why he named himself Montague lol
Monty plays electric guitar and rants about how much he wants certain types of guitars
He and Edgar have a gender envy wall (basically js pics of ppl who give them gender envy, in a not-creepy way)
monty is panromantic, grayromantic, and allosexual
his head is super chaotic but he's super quiet on the outside so he looks kind of scary (basically looks like he could kill you + is a cinnamon roll kinda guy)
his resting face is also a bitch face so thats why he also looks kinda scary
kinda judges people but doesnt act rude to them bc of it
HE DEFINITELY BOXES AND ONE OF HIS RELATIVES GOT HIM INTO IT (whether a sibling, parent, uncle, cousin i have no idea) and his knuckles are ALWAYS bruised

obsessed with rock and idolizes David Bowie + Freddie Mercury + Brian May + Billy Idol, super into indie rock too
literally does NOT care who hes texting, all lowercase + abbreviations galore
literally does not go anywhere or do anything without either doing it spontaneously or planning it out meticulously for DAYS. there is no in between
he and Edgar live like about a block or two away from each other (in the suburbs) so they walk to each other's houses a lot

when he starts to get closer w kevin and roland (fyi they dont rly know each other at the start of the fic) he offhandedly says that he was obsessed w Mulan as a kid and now the group screams to I'll Make a Man Out of You and cries to Reflections

he's the guy in the group chat who rarely responds but is always there. lurking. he's watching everything you do but you never know hes there. hes that dude in the group chat (hes actually just not a big texting person)
actually finds dresses super comfortable but doesnt wear them in public cuz of dysphoria (montys grandma has def given him some vintage ones she doesnt wear anymore)
monty's grandma highkey forgets that edgar isnt her actual son and literally drives him to doctors appointments and stuff like that
accidentally left his night stuff at monty's once and now he just keeps them there bc he stays at montys like. a lot. (like i said his dad and grandpa are... well... not on purpose but certainly neglectful)
LOVES sci-fi and makes monty watch Doctor Who with him even tho Monty isn't the biggest fan (but they luv spending time together)
super into vintage films and TV shows and really likes M.A.S.H.

KEVIN:
unofficially diagnosed ADHD but steals his little sister's meds bc she hates them
has a little sister (as you can see. not canon but it fits him)
one of those weird ass dudes who wears shorts in winter and pants in summer
gets a new Disney comforter every few years, atm its the Lion King
has that cheesy ahh Lightning McQueen bed and needs a new one cuz hes too big for it but his parents wont let him
lead singer of the band and plays keyboards sometimes
also plays piano, harmonica, a little bit of bass guitar, rhythm guitar and is still loves violin and is TERRIFYINGLY good at it

had an art phase and can draw pretty well (official rfth art style i think)

ROLAND:
ocd, in the process of being diagnosed
used to be pretty insecure about his weight but has learned to love himself (fuck fatphobia)
drummer!! he likes to hit things with sticks :)
is literally always dressed for church. always. black slacks, white button up, tie, belt + suspenders, and used to always wear dress shoes but Kevin convinced him to wear converse. but he only wears the red or black high tops and keeps them in pristine condition
only listened to Christian rock and stuff, but after a few years of knowing Kevin, Kevin somehow gaslighted him into thinking The Devil's Chasing Me by The Reverend Horton Heat was a religious song and thats how he got into other music
loves girlypop music and loses his shit when Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, or Chappell Roan comes on
favorite subject is science
every year he becomes best friends with the teachers (professionally)
this is probably set sometime during or after the fic, but i have a theory he lost a bet to Monty and dyed his hair bright blue (with those ones that wash out fully in the shower) and something awoke in him that day
he/they boyflux (strong preference for he/him except for some days when he prefers both)
definitely on the aroace spectrum but questioning where he is
not exactly closeted to himself, more like "eh thats something for later" and just. is aware that some shit is happening but doesnt pay enough attention to fully realize
after he finally figures it out, he doesnt come out to his family for a while bc hes nervous of what they'll say, but theyre generally pretty accepting but a little confused. willing to learn tho
this one is so random but i think that for a while he thought that anyone who got pregnant, whether willingly or not, should carry the baby to term and just put it up for adoption until somebody he knew found out he thought that and explained to him why that was really really stupid (had to tell my dad this bc he had this opinion, and roland and my dad are pretty similar in terms of their religious faith so)
really nervous about how people perceive him so thats why he's always so polite (and also because he believes wholeheartedly in Love Thy Neighbor)

RANDOM EXTRA SHIT:
they go to a k-12 co-ed school (i wanted to keep the uniforms and let Kevin see his little sister sometimes)
Monty + Edgar kind of knew of Kevin + Roland, and vice versa, from their schools GSA club but had never really done much more then see each other until the band got together
anyway, i might add some more later but for now this is what i have :3 sorry it took awhile but this was really fun!!
