This was absolutely based on Flapjacks death in toh and that makes this sm sadder

I interpret the song as a way of describing the fact sometimes you can have people support you to get better but its a journey you sometimes have to make alone and that made me think of edgar sm

Like, poe literally was the first push of keeping edgar alive but now his recovery and edgars (inevitable) battle with his mental health after this is a journey theyre now having to do alone.

The song talks about overcoming a traumatic past and becoming more than you were meant to be. Not only was his beginning at St churnleys traumatic and he now has to become more than the Allen boy who lost their crow, some subtle of his relationship with his family show signs of trauma from them growing up.

So now edgar has to start his own journey, figuring himself and their curse out, as it is no longer what he thought it was and they will no longer live the future he thought he had to

What’s a good horror show?

Let me introduce you to the plagueround. All of the main characters have trauma and problems. One of them is a serial killer by accident, one is apart of a repressive cult, one is ashamed and neglected by his parents and then there’s the last one. Oh boy.

The last boy… wow. He is neglected by his family. He has no self worth. Only has self doubt. Gets backed into a corner constantly. Has a physical reminder of ‘how much of a let down’ he is. He is on death’s door. He never appreciates his only real family (aka Poe) until it’s too late and Poe sacrifices himself. The people that were supposed to protect him (the teachers) failed him. DID I MENTION HE ALMOST DIES FOR A BIT AND THEN POE DIES.

The worst part is you grow to love Poe and trust he will be fine. He was doomed from the start. It was planned all along and there’s nothing you can do about it. Poe didn’t have an ounce of evil in him.

I’d say it’s pretty horrifying for 11 year old boys… and scarring for the watchers
