Sometimes, I have to remind myself that Luxe and Liam are practically babies. This morning, it was just one thing after another. I put out food, and they didn't rush straight over to eat, so I thought they must have been sick and had a loss of appetite. Then I *attempted* to clean out their litter box and they thought it was a game. I was so mad that they wouldn't leave me alone so I could clean! Then I needed to put my shoes on or else I was going to be late for work. So I opened up my closet and couldn't find my shoes so I dumped them all out on my floor, which was a huge mess I wouldn't have time to clean before I left. The cats took that opportunity to run inside my closet, and I hate when they do that. And I took Liam out and went back in for Luxe, and as soon as I had gotten Luxe out, Liam ran back in. It was just a big game I didn't have time for. But they are kittens. They are playful and curious and sweet. Contrary to popular belief, cats have no knowledge of malice or revenge. They're just cats. I had to remind myself that these sweet, fluffy balls of fur are not out to get me. They crave attention, and so they make everything into a game if I am involved. I don't believe in discipline or punishment, only positive reinforcement. But I still feel bad that I was so angry. I think this calls for extra treats when I get home!
