“Don’t worry,” Rob said as they shuffled the deck of tarot cards in their hands, flashing a grin up at the person hovering in front of their chair. They had their largest hoop earrings on, a turban wrapped round their dark curly hair, a totally normal look for them, but certainly one that imitated what someone might expect of a traditional psychic. “My deck is gender neutral - none of this ranking men above women bull,” they said with a sniff of distaste, a dramatic shuffle of the cards punctuating the sentence. “Like, it’s so cis-heteronormative, I was totally blocked in learning to read the cards when I couldn’t relate to them because of that, you know? Plus, the Lovers, almost always depicted as a male and female? Like, it’s 2021. Who’s even straight anymore?” They added, throwing up their hands. “But I digress. Dare to ask the cards a question?”
