Yeah, I was really surprised at how many notes and positive comments my post got, and it was a relief to see that I’m not the only one really enjoying this season despite missing Fitz. I used a cheesy metaphor when I was talking to @agl03 and my group chat on Twitter a while back... Fitz is like dessert. We have to wait for it as it’s the last course, but it’s always the best part and well worth it in the end. We’re gonna get fed! We just have to be patient.

the “missa solemnis” written for some emperor. hardly ever performed. too strange for church music really. I*ve been trying to HEAR it for about 30 yrs/ can catch bits as they go by but the overall shape still eludes (kinda fun really) i am sure there is whole show on youtube but a snippet would not tell the story so i won*t be doing that here. (not sorry) btw i have the john elliot gardner version now. years ago had it on DG (more mushy) i prefer the crisper and cleaner.
