although she was on a lovely retreat   ,   work back home still managed to   pester   into her personal time whenever it felt the need to   .   she   finally   was finished with a   prolonged   call   ,   which she took in the wintery outdoors as a way to soothe the nerves that were already coursing throughout her   .   more   &   more she’s become   sick   of her responsibilities getting in the way of living life the way it truly should be spent   ,   by just enjoying herself   .   as she sauntered throughout the main lobby   ,   pining to simply go to her room   &   relax   ,   her hazels broaden once they catch onto a familiar figure in the midst of it all   .   while texts were exchanged between the two   ,   she hasn’t seen him since the morning of christmas   ,   which she intended to happen on   purpose   .   not that he had done anything wrong   ,   in fact he gave her one of the greatest nights of her like   ...   —‑   it was more that she felt she had done something wrong   ,   &   has been avoiding him ever since   .   though now that her presence had also be taken into notice   ,   there was no longer an opportunity for her to turn   &   run away in panic   .   a small   ,   yet sincere smile curled along her lips as she gradually strolled herself over to him   ,   her fingers fiddling with one another out of habit   .   ❛   hi   ,   ❜   she greeted through a breath   ,   her gaze intent on his features as she stood before him   ,   her frame faintly tense   .   ❛   how do you like the resort   ?   have you been enjoying yourself   ?   ❜   //   @lvncoln   .
