i made a tool for creating gradient text! it's similar to this great site, but with a few additional features:

extract a color palette from an image

paste a string of hex codes to load the colors

AO3 export mode (it's a bit of a pain in the ass but it works)

luvnotes ♡ an AO3 comment notepad

sharing another silly-but-useful thing i made for myself — a handy lil comment notepad for AO3!

hangs out inside your ao3 tab right next to the fic text, always ready to receive your dazzling remarks

saves your draft comments locally in browser storage

minimizes to a small icon when not in use (& shows a lil badge if you started writing a comment for the work you're currently reading)

quickly add blockquotes and text formatting (and preview the html!)

pastes into the comment box when you're ready to roll!

i also added a bonus feature that will hide that obnoxious fundraising banner that won't go away right now 🙊

if you've ever seen the "Floating Comment Box" script, it's a gently beefed up version of that.

you can grab it here; tested on firefox, opera, and chrome (desktop only) — let me know if you try it out in a different browser!

you'll need to have the Tampermonkey or similar extension installed first :3 instructions for doing that in various browsers is here.

** note: if you didn't have Tampermonkey installed, you might need to enable "developer mode" in chrome://extensions and restart your browser before it'll work!

ao3 text threads, 2025

i made an extended version of my cyberpunk text threads tool with themes that emulate different messaging interfaces, and the ability to customize the colors, fonts etc. i've seen at least one person on ao3 who was using the "minimal" interface for non-cyberpunk fics, so i thought i'd generalize it a bit more!

you can also now add centered, freeform timestamps (ie "Yesterday" and "Today" in the image above), hide the per-message timestamps, and/or use a 12hr format instead of the 24h-with-seconds format

i'm working on adding an avatars feature too :3 (edit: avatars have been added)

🏬 virtual atelier helper

hi, another lil script i made for myself now gets a web UI! here is a virtual atelier redscript generator that works with both .yaml and existing .reds files 🫧 how to use

drop in any number of archivexl .yaml files, and/or the .reds file for an existing store

it will detect the item names (including expanding any .yaml anchors/aliases)

edit price/quantity/quality in bulk

bob's ur uncle

so if you have an existing store you want to add new items to, you should be able to drop in your existing .reds and the .yaml with the new items :)

i am on neocities

hi i moved all those lil tools i've made (like cyberpunk texts, shards, emails; the divider playground and this footnote helper) to: neocities!

i will still keep the old codepens up, but it was getting unwieldy to update those (codepen's editor is trash, it's tough to work with library imports, etc)

one nice change i made is that most of the forms will now save your changes locally, so if you're working on e.g. a big text thread, you won't lose your work if the tab closes or refreshes ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ
