There is nothing wrong with being an empathetic, nurturing, supportive person. There is nothing wrong with liking those aspects of yourself and how it can make you feel better re: your self-esteem. There's nothing wrong with being the main one who expresses this type of support in a relationship, (though you should never be the only one who does this). I'm a person who falls within this category myself and it's one of the things I relate to with Louis a lot.
The issue I have with the post going around about Louis being supportive, (mainly of Harry, of course), is that 1) it's twisting the intent/issues that a lot of us have with how Louis is portrayed within the fandom as ONLY being supportive, and how his career goals, etc., are then not prioritized or celebrated, and 2) it's not healthy to have any one person, in any kind of relationship, be the only one expressing support/care/etc. I realize that people show their support in various ways and those ways are not always as visible as others, but even with basic Larrie headcanons, Harry is never shown to be the one who is going out of his way to be there for Louis. It always falls to Louis and, (as someone who has been taken advantage of, maliciously and innocently, over the years because of my personality), it's difficult to be happy about this aspect of fandom lore.
I'm not sure if it's because of the XF, or a natural continuation of the justifications used to excuse what's happening to Louis, but I'm beyond frustrated that this aspect of Louis's personality appears to be one more thing that both certain fans, as well as Syco/Simon/Sony/etc., love to use against him. 😤
I also have a million thoughts about Louis being a judge, his new management, etc., but that will have to go in another post soon.
