There was another advertisement. Kyoko Sighed. How many people here, seeing as a good portion of the population had been kidnapped from their home world, actually had mothers to celebrate Mother’s Day with. It really made no sense, but, no matter where she went, Mother’s Day sales or products were on display. As if she needed to be reminded of her mother.
Leaving the store she strode quickly down the street. Memories of her mother’s disappointment weighed heavily on her. If she had been paying more attention she would have seen the woman sooner. With a yelp she quickly dodged around her, barely avoiding knocker her over.
“I’m so very sorry. I hope you’re alright,” Kyoko apologized to her.
