YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED:

► WHAT: There’s a storm brewing this April, a little more than an April shower and it’s about to cause the biggest power outage.

► WHEN: Interactions will begin Thursday, April 11th at 12 noon EST through Thursday, April 18th at 12 noon EST. The event itself will last 24 hours but we’re extending dash interactions to last an entire week so everyone has the chance to interact and do the plots they want.

► LOCATION: The event will be held across New York City, and your characters will be in the location stated below (all of the characters and locations have been randomised as we want to increase muse interactions and see what kind of things can spark when your character may be with someone who they wouldn’t really be seen with.) ► ADMIN NOTES: If you choose to post a self para as to why your character/s may be in the location selected please do so by April 10th and make sure to tag it LYDEVENT3. All event threads should be tagged accordingly with LYDEVENT3. You may continue non event threads if you wish through this time, but only event threads may be started.

Just know that this event is NOT mandatory but will be a nice way for you to build on your character, start new connections, or even nourish ones you have going. As mentioned you do not have to cease old threads if they’re still going by the time the event starts, but to save on confusion all new threads that are started should be related to the event.  If you do not want to take part in the event please message the admins via Tumblr or discord to let us know!

► WHAT: Stolen smooches in the corner or sexy moves on the dance floor, whatever you’re looking for this valentines day we’ve got it for you. AIR in partnership with AHA are bringing you the  ‘Affairs of the Heart’ Gala.

► WHEN: Interactions will begin Wednesday,  February 13th at 12 noon EST through Sunday, February 17th at midnight EST. The event itself will last 24 hours but we’re extending dash interactions to last a weekend long so everyone has the chance to interact and do the plots they want. We will also have some sub discord channels going so for example we’ll have something for the girls bathroom, bar, boys bathrooms, dance floor, smoking area, front steps, and so on and so forth for smaller/quicker interactions between characters.

► LOCATION: The event will be held at the AIR Nightclub and will be decked out in all the lavish decor. There will be a buffet with themed food, an open bar with signature romantic cocktails, a DJ, and surprise celebrity performances.

► ADMIN NOTES: If you choose to post your character’s Gala outfit please do so by February 13th and make sure to tag it LYDEVENT2. All event threads should be tagged accordingly with LYDEVENT2. You may continue none event threads if you wish through this time, but only event threads may be started.

This event is also a weird one due to the way your character gets there. Since this is a high profile event all of those with power so royals, celebrities, public figures, influences etc will be extended a personal invitation but everyone else has the fun part of obtaining a ticket. You can choose how that happens; either they bought a ticket, won on through a radio contest, raffle drawing, someone’s plus one, ect. If there is any confusion about this even please contact one of us on the main and we can get that all cleared up. Thanks you wonderful people and we can’t wait to get this event going!

what kind of event suggestions are the admin team looking for? e.g. something more slice of life, action-related, mystery, etc.

Something fun and different,

We obviously had our Halloween and Valentines galas which were a huge success, and we just finished our blackout event a couple weeks ago..

Dependant on the type of events, opens up the types of different platforms we can extend the event too, such as when we have the galas we have the different channels in our discord GC!

A couple ideas that have floated around are;

Summer festival

Bonfire/BBQ

Spring Carnival

Art/Music Festival

We are honestly open to all types of events !

Hey residents, muns and nonnie’s alike..

Remember that the event starts today, so just to remind that;

No NON-EVENT starters either closed or open may be replied to or started (so avoid that lydstarter tag)

This being said, any threads that started before the event may be continued (if you want too, no pressure)

You are only allowed to communicate with people inside your locations, no texts/call threads are allowed during the event

Hi everyone, your admins here!

I just want to address a couple of things, just housekeeping, so if you could read this through we’d really appreciate it.

Recently you’ll have noticed there was a hate post blasted out about some rpgs that hadn’t actively put Amber Heard on their banned list (this part also goes out to people in the tags, prospective members). We at live your dream rp take our lead from our members, since you are the most important part of this group. Therefore as you all know, we encourage anyone who finds a FC triggering or uncomfortable to see on the dash to let us admins know so we can add them to the list. Therefore we have not added Amber because the things in the news about her have been mainly speculation and if we banned everyone that ever had some kind of bad or triggering press we wouldn’t have any FCs left! So as we said, please just come to us if you find a FC triggering, we’re always happy to add people to the list. We are guided by you our members.

Secondly, we understand people want to leave sometimes, or RL gets in the way, which is completely fair enough. However we do ask that you please message us to let us know rather than just deleting or changing your blog, only because it can get confusing when we want to update the main with taken/available characters and fcs. To just up and leave without giving us a heads up is honestly a little rude.

Lastly, although we find ships amazing and love reading all your shipping threads on the dash please remember that our role-play is about so much more than just joining for a ship. Branch out from that one shipping plot, because it helps to keep everyone involved and having fun.

Hope that all makes sense! Again, as always, just ask if there is any issues or questions.

I know this is an appless RP but is there anything you guys can do about one liners? It just seems to flood my dash and puts me off writing...

We can understand that, that’s why we’re going to be implementing a three sentence minimum on all replies that are not in the text/chat format, therefore bringing more narrative back into all replies. Please remember all members that this is a literary roleplay so we ask that you make sure your replies are suited to said roleplay type. It will no doubt help boost everyones muse, plus it adds depth to all plots!

weekend meme days

     Hey there lovely members, we admins would like to introduce a new interactive idea -- weekend meme days.

During the weekends (beginning of Saturday until the end of Sunday - depending on your timezone) you are free to reblog memes with only one condition: if someone sends you one, it’s only fair to ask you to send one in return if that person also reblogged a meme !! We hope this will help you guys develop your characters and help build easy and short interactions that can develop your IC relationships! There is no limit to the number of memes you can reblog (although, please don’t clog the dash with it) and we are starting this next Saturday - 29th of December.
