The bathroom. Charlie tried not to laugh as he dipped his head back towards the table and finished the bread in his hand, thinking about cliches and tropes and God, Jesus, they were going to be so obvious.

But he got to his feet all the same after a few beats, the bread gone and the glass of iced tea he’d had empty of its contents. The bathroom it was, then.

“Hello, yes I got the flowers, they were lovely, thank you.” Anastasia was not on the phone to a secret admirer but her parents. They did the same thing every year for Ana whenever she did not have a valentine, and would buy her something out of pity. She felt bad whenever this happened and would fake a smile and a happy voice. Once she hung up the phone, she sighed and got her ticket off her bedside for the event. However, she was too busy texting her parents and completely fell on her ass as she bumped into someone, and one of her red heels had broken.

“Sorry, my fault. Parents, am I right?... and my heel broke too. Damn it.” She laughed awkwardly while waving her phone in one hand and her heel in the other.

After sorting himself out, and giving a couple of guys in the bathroom an awkward smile because Alastair knew that they’d heard some of what had just happened in the stall, he went back out into the ballroom. He didn’t know where Charlie had disappeared to - probably having to politely talk to somebody somewhere - Alastair looked around the room. A drink. A drink was needed.

So he made his way over to the bar, and his eyes landed on somebody he hadn’t seen all night.

‘Aspen!’ Alastair grinned, wrapping his arms around his daughter in a tight hug without a moment of hesitation. He was so happy to see her. ‘Where have you been hiding? I’ve been looking for you all night.’

► WHAT: Stolen smooches in the corner or sexy moves on the dance floor, whatever you’re looking for this valentines day we’ve got it for you. AIR in partnership with AHA are bringing you the ‘Affairs of the Heart’ Gala.

► WHEN: Interactions will begin Wednesday, February 13th at 12 noon EST through Sunday, February 17th at midnight EST. The event itself will last 24 hours but we’re extending dash interactions to last a weekend long so everyone has the chance to interact and do the plots they want. We will also have some sub discord channels going so for example we’ll have something for the girls bathroom, bar, boys bathrooms, dance floor, smoking area, front steps, and so on and so forth for smaller/quicker interactions between characters.

► LOCATION: The event will be held at the AIR Nightclub and will be decked out in all the lavish decor. There will be a buffet with themed food, an open bar with signature romantic cocktails, a DJ, and surprise celebrity performances.

► ADMIN NOTES: If you choose to post your character’s Gala outfit please do so by February 13th and make sure to tag it LYDEVENT2. All event threads should be tagged accordingly with LYDEVENT2. You may continue none event threads if you wish through this time, but only event threads may be started.

LIKE ONCE YOU’VE READ THIS PLEASE!

Just know that this event is NOT mandatory but will be a nice way for you to build on your character, start new connections, or even nourish ones you have going. As mentioned you do not have to cease old threads if they’re still going by the time the event starts, but to save on confusion all new threads that are started should be related to the event. This event is also a weird one due to the way your character gets there. Since this is a high profile event all of those with power so royals, celebrities, public figures, influences etc will be extended a personal invitation but everyone else has the fun part of obtaining a ticket. You can choose how that happens; either they bought a ticket, won on through a radio contest, raffle drawing, someone’s plus one, ect. If there is any confusion about this even please contact one of us on the main and we can get that all cleared up. Thanks you wonderful people and we can’t wait to get this event going!
