What was their first impression of each other?

There wasn’t an initial attraction on either end. Solas seen her as just another one of the Dalish. Sure she was pretty but he assumed she’d be just as cold and close minded as every other Dalish elf he’d met so far. Besides being unconscious for weeks isnt the best bonding time. also being annoyed she interfered and frustrated he couldnt unlock the orb wasnt the best impression.

When Lylex did wake up she was thrown headfirst into an inquisition and barely had time to meet everyone. Her first impression of Solas was that she appreciated him being there and that he was an outcast and elf just like her. When she couldn’t find common ground with him that she wanted she was also frustrated. It took them both breaking barriers to finally open up to eachother and an unlikely friendship to blossom. 

Who felt romantic feelings first?

Solas. 100% against his better judgement. And it really didnt take long. He admired how involved she was in the Hinterlands, trying to help everyone regardless of background. She broke all of his expectations and somehow surprised him. Lylex wasn’t trying to impress anyone, just trying to do the right thing. She listened to him and was so inquisitive. She loved hearing about the fade and seeing the world through his perspective. The longer they spent time together that quicker he realized how deep he was in. A few desire demons would try tempting him with her face in the fade and that’s when he knew he was in trouble. 

What are their primary love languages?

Lylex: Quality time, words of affirmation

Solas: Quality time, physical touch

Who’s better at comforting the other?

Solas. Only because he doesn’t let her in enough to show the scope of his tragedy. He’s a fixed point during the inquisition, rarely does he let anything upset him. She knows that theres more to him than he lets on, some great burden and all she wants is to help him. But she understands it will be up to him to open up to her and maybe hes just not ready yet but she’s patient. On the other hand she is an open book. Completely honest with herself and her feelings. Allowing herself to feel the rage and pain of her companions, she usually needs solas to comfort her and calm her down. Whatever she hides from the rest of the inquisition she doesn't hide it from him and he knows just what to say to help her.
