Megan's Bouquet, Lynn Hughes
After having spent several years as a professional floral designer, I really missed working with flowers so I began painting these stylized arrangements as a means of expressing my love for all things in bloom. This addition to my series of floral paintings this is a dazzling bouquet of vibrant blossoms meticulously painted in rich tones on a deep golden background. Textural elements and the delicate application of gold leaf add to the radiance of this painting. This was s a commissioned piece for a client who wanted a bright and joyful painting that would echo the colors in their beautiful family room and kitchen counter tops. They were very happy with the finished work! As with all my paintings, the 1.5 inch sides of this gallery-wrapped canvas were painted which made it ready to hang.
