LYNY is a mysterious producer from Chicago who happened to grab hold of my attention firmly the other day when I traipsed upon his new track INSECURITY. I was immediately taken in by his trap and bass soundscape, its finespun texture, and its gritty yet dreamy constitution. INSECURITY, which samples J-Kwon classic Tipsy, is expertly interwoven with a pensive late night house ambiance and punctuated with bursts of whomping hip hop energy. There’s a whimsicality to its ambling pace and a fantastical quality to that playfulness. INSECURITY is a free download, here.
