(I felt a little rusty on drawing and since I've been so Lysonia brained I decided to finally draw her mawsworn design I've had for a year.)

About to come to some real abrupt realizations when your Paragon who you did all this for is telling you to stop. Half of your force turned against you, the rest are dead. You have nothing. Everything you did is for nothing, and you were only ever a tool to be used by someone else.

So I was looking for weapons for NPCs and got to Lysonia and could not find her mace in the SL weapons, but found a very similar looking one in Ardent Vindicator's Breaker (7.3 mace) and I think it's the same after rotating the model and comparing them

Do you think this like, did something to Lysonia and that's why she crashed out for a second there or?

Lysonia in the Maw later flustered because being called 'pet' by a much older woman kinda did something to her and now she's gotta unpack that.

2. How long was the process before the character reached its final version? (or a version that would be clearly recognizable as the character?)

So my first Lysonia art was just some shit posts like:

And these are a year old. Lysonia here still had her helmet somewhat, but I was still trying to move away from it.

Her current design is basically this, I just got better at drawing her halo and armour. Her hairstyle later changed from slicked back to like a fringe and I made her nose darker. She's still getting development in her character, so I'd say about a year.

6. What was the thought process behind their appearance? Did you go mostly for the aesthetic or are there other reasons they look the way they do?

So first of all, getting rid of that Mario Galaxy looking hammer because what? Girl no have some dignity. I changed it to a spear because spears are cool.

I also wanted her to retain the look of her pre-forsworn look. I know they changed it to differ her from Ascended Kleia. But I kinda saw Lysonia as less of a brawler and more a thinker. So I removed the helmet (also to differ her from Andromede) but I still wanted to keep the halo, the halo I think is iconic to Lysonia's design as she's the only kyrian with one (current.)

The halo also makes her into more of a literal angel. And in turn a fallen angel when it's broken.

Another minor detail that I've not shared is Lysonia's little ♦ on her chest. That's actually supposed to be a reference to Devos as Devos gets a diamond shaped scar there later from her death.

12. Do you have a playlist for the character? What songs do you associate with them and why?

So I don't have a playlist for Lysonia explicitly yet. I generally listen to a lot of 'edgy teen songs' that I listened to as a kid while drawing her like Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Everneces etc.

Some songs specifically though:

Missing - Evanescence

Sinking Town - Nehan no Yoru 涅槃の夜

Going Under - Evanescence

And also the lyrics from Oh Woe to Thee ye People of Order, makes me think of the Bastion battle from her pov @ Devos, it's the little mental AMV I think of:

Leonidus

1. What was the original thought that led to the creation of this character?

I honestly can't remember why I was looking at the Ascended council? There definantly was something I was looking for, it might have been an agro line. But I looked at him and thought 'why is his sword so fucking big oh my god? He looks like his voice is still breaking holding it'

I was just enamoured with him because he looked adorable. Unfortunately for me that meant I quickly got attached to a character who's just a rare.

3. What was the first thing you decided on, the character's name, appearance, personality or their role in the story?

Probably his name. I tried to think of what names Loyatly would have. The name Leonidus seemed to fit being after Leonidus. It's so hard to explain, but it feels a very golden name which Leo looks like. Probably because the metal for Leo (zodiac) is gold.

4. And reverse, which one of the four things did you struggle with the most?

Honestly I'm still figuring out what he does. Like he's very much a side character, but he does have to deal with his mentor being a traitor to Bastion. While I'm on holiday I do plan to doodle him maybe on the plane since I need to come up with a design for him, thought I don't think it will differ much from the cannon model.

10. What is their main character arc in the story? Where do they start and how do they develop? Do they get a happy ending or is their story a tragic one?

I think he gets a happy ending! He showed his loyalty to Bastion never wavered during Shadowlands, so he gets to remain as a sentinel under Kalisthene. Maybe they'll even take him off Ascended Council duty.

For some reason I don't think my brain ever registered Lysonia's voice (APD fr) because I'm listening to alpha videos vs live and I'm like huh.

Cause her argument with Eridia really feels like she doesn't give af. But holy shit her VA locks in when she's mad. Like these are both from Purity:

But also I cannot defend her, some of her lines are so cartoon villain goofy it makes me crack up.
