Darkness
What... what happened? Why... I can't see. I can't see...
"Heyyyyy!"
"Owww! Sensitive hearing!" The Blind Swordsman complained, rubbing his ears.
Miya approaches Kirito carefully already by his eyes telling something was wrong. She had brought food with her, just a few rice cakes she had made. "Kirito, its me Miya.."
Kirito was sitting alone on a bench with his grey eyes opened and staring at the ground, not that he could see the ground. He sighed, hating that he was stuck in this small town instead of on the front lines with Klein, Asuna, and the others. He was bored, and upset. No he was down right pathetic right now, the Beater, the Black Swordsman reduced to being trapped in a village because he can't see. He sighed, and looked up when he heard the sound of feet coming towards him. He knew he was safe from being killed in here, but that didn't mean he didn't tense up in case it was someone who would try to take advantage of his disability. But he relaxed when he heard the voice was Miya, he really wasn't in the mood to argue with her. But having someone to talk to was at least SOMETHING to. "Hi Miya." He replied, returning his gaze back to the ground, though all he saw was darkness. Though he was getting hungry and the smell of Miya's food was tempting to ask about, but he restrained himself and didn't ask.
Waking up was always one of the Sniper's least favorite activities, mainly due to the fact that his body was stiff and he hardly felt rested, sleeping on a bed so much smaller than he needed. But alas, that's what his home had so that's what he dealt with. Besides, coffee worked just as well as sleep right?
Sitting up in bed and rubbing at his eyes, he expected to be greeted with the familiar surroundings of his camper van and the sun creeping in through the blinds as it always did. All that greeted him was darkness however and he shakily reached up, wondering if someone had tied something around his eyes. Fingers brushed over skin, searching almost desperately for a sign of fabric or something of the like to be there, an explanation to the lack of sight, but he found none.
Panic hit him like a freight train, sending his stomach dropping and causing a low whine to escape his throat. His job depended on good eye sight. He needed to see, there was no way around that.
Because really, what good was a sniper, if they had no eyesight to view a target?
Darkness M!A is over, but thank you whoever sent it and thank you to the Nonny who tormented Gemini. That was so much fun and if you'd like to come off anon I would love to RP with you sometime.
"I can see your mind working. We both know I have given you information. Why don't you tell me about your conclusions first, and maybe I'll decide to tell you where you went wrong."
Gemini rolled onto her hands again and sat up, her legs tucked under her. She tried her best to breathe and keep her wits.
"You're obviously intelligent, sadistic. Well read. Probably not human, and older than you sound, which translates to older than you look. Voice sounds human so you're somewhat humanoid at least. And... oh yeah, my first assumption: You're an utter b******."
"You'll find that books pall on you, after a while," the stranger replied, seemingly unfazed by her reaction. "There's so much distraction. Books, music, art, nature. Pets. But people are the only one that never lose their appeal. Quite fascinating indeed. Are you hurt?" The question was asked like someone else might say "Is it raining outside?" when they weren't planning on leaving the house either way; small talk, more than anything else.
A while. So either her faceless tormentor was older than he sounded or well read. Or both. He definitely sounded intelligent. And obviously a sadist. Disconnected from people, from the way he talked. Probably not human.
She analyzed as much as she could to keep from falling further into a panic.
She didn't deign his question with an answer, it was all too obvious he didn't care. "What are you?"
"I told you, I get bored. I just need some entertainment - which you are providing wonderfully, if I may so, my dear girl - that is all. No hidden agenda. No great schemes. As to my identity..." The stranger was silent again, and then the voice was a great deal nearer Gemini's ear. "Ah, that would be telling, wouldn't it. I don't expect you to know my name anyway."
"Go read a book." she bit out before the voice was suddenly, horribly close. She screamed and jolted away, tripping over herself and landing on her shoulder with a thud.
