After Claude, Byleth and Dimitri get married. Dimitri starts acting different, more angy.
Suddenly Dimitri gets cursed to turn into a feral rat terrier.
Inconveniently the curse is irreversible.
So Claude and Byleth have no choice but to raise the feral Dimitri rat terrier.
They also prove they still love Dimitri :)
And like mr Bubz, mr Dimitri despite his feralness still loves his partners.
He just communicates it through his feral snarls and actions.
