SEVEN | KENNETT
Mitchell had been dead set on finding someone on his own. As he watched everyone around him couple up, the pressure hit hard. Of course, Camille was always ready and willing with a pocket book of young ladies she knew from her groups that were more than willing to sink their teeth into a Bennett. He didn’t want to do that. He wanted to meet someone fresh, someone who wasn’t going to drag him to gala after gala. At the same time, he didn’t want someone to use him for his money.
Resorting to dating apps had been hard at first. He’d meet someone once and it would rarely go past that. No one would come over to his house, only few would make it past the first date. This was almost like a blind date. Neither had seen a picture of each other, neither knowing more than a screen name. It was by chance at midnight when he took down his pictures and just wanted to see who would respond. They hit it off. After about a week of late night talks, he decided to meet up with her. Of course his brother and friends told him it was a stupid idea. He had no idea what he was walking into other than knowing her name, and what color she’d be wearing. Choosing a nicer place as they both seemed to have good taste, he stood there in a blue suit watching for a woman to walk in wearing blue. Once he saw her, he was stunned.
