Hi!! I’m back to writing!

Unfortunately I can’t seem to find the request anymore but here’s the Lexi x Toby (ft twenty one) I wrote! It’s very rushed so I apologise for the quality :/

Pancakes?

Twenty One and Lexi Kills didn’t get along, at all. Most of the reason why was because of their different views of The Operator.

It was no secret that Lexi disliked him, whereas Twenty One devoted her full loyalty to him. Lexi thinks she’s an idiot, being so easily manipulated by him, but she doesn’t understand why Twenty one is the way she is. She respects Slenderman so much because he provided her with something she never had, stability.

Most of the time the two would avoid each other and when they were in the same room, one would either leave to avoid friction. Toby also wasn’t the most fond of Lexi, although his reasonings were a bit more..bizarre. He thought she was dead weight, plus he had grown close to Twenty One so by extension he wasn’t Lexi’s fan, even if his opinions on Slenderman were more aligned with Lexi’s.

Twenty One had just come back from a walk with EJ, the two went into the kitchen for a glass of water and saw Toby in there trying to cook…something? It was burnt and the smell stuck onto every surface in the room. “Toby what the fuck are you doing?” Her voice asked, though her words were harsh her tone was more concerned.

“Making f-fucking pancakes Rae.” He replied. “Pancakes?” She scoffs as she sets her untouched glass on the chipped marble counter. “Those are bricks Toby, are you sure you should be near fire?” She asks to which he scoffs and says that these were his best attempts yet. To that she laughs, loudly, which was very unlike her, the sounds of her laugh echoed the room and the two pastas froze for a moment.

“Toby you’re actually hilarious..” she said in between catching her breath and laughing again, she was going to add something else until, slap! A splatter of pancake batter hit her face. Immediately she went silent, glaring at Toby before running towards him and slapping some pancake batter on him too, seeing the scene, EJ decided to leave to kitchen. The two didn’t even notice as they started throwing things at eachother. “Toby get back here!” “N-n-no!” “Toby when I catch you I swear on all that’s holy!”

This went on for a few minutes until someone else entered the kitchen, Lexi. She had her headphones on, hence why she didn’t hear the ruckus as she walked in, hands in her pocket, looking to fix herself a snack. The two fighting sensed a third presence and stopped, snapping their heads towards Lexi, she too fixed her eyes between the two.

Even though Twenty one HEAVILY disliked Lexi, what Toby said to her last time they worked together was shitty and she’s been lecturing him about it. Seeing Lexi about to leave she clears her throat. “Ahem! Lexi is it? Uh Toby here has something to say to you.” She grumbled before leaving the kitchen like nothing had happened, right before closing the door she gives Toby a stern look.

She closed the door behind her and they stood there for a moment before Toby bent down to pick up the spatula and started cleaning up their mess. “So..?” Lexis voice rang out, her headphones now around her neck with an unamused look. “So w-what?” Toby replied, quite rudely. “Are you going to yell at me again because I’m in no mood.” Toby didn’t respond, he continued to clean up. She sighs, he’d never change. She walked towards the fridge and pulled the door open and peered inside. Some gone off milk, some wild berries, a bunch of bananas, uncooked meat and…bread? Who puts bread in the fridge? She pulled out the loaf and took two slices and began spreading jam on it. “I’m s-sorry” a tiny whisper spoke up and her knife froze mid dip. She turned around slowly, unsure if she heard him correctly. “Huh?” Toby was again cleaning, this time washing the dishes very aggressively. “Y-you heard me I’m n-not repeating my-myself.”

Ok then…she went back to spreading the jam on one slice and finished by spreading peanut butter on the other side. She slapped the two pieces together and took a bite while walking towards the door. Before leaving she finally replied “apology accepted” though it was hard to hear through her muffled chewing.

This wasn’t much, they quite literally exchanged one nice sentence in the entire time they were together, but small steps are still steps forward.

She knew this wasn’t the last time she’d be annoyed at Toby and it wasn’t the last time she’d do something that unintentionally pisses him off, but they are unfortunately living and working together so no matter how much they hate each other they had to be at least semi civil. Small steps, she thought as she took another bite of her sandwich as she walked up the stairs.
