There are plenty of legends about the namesake of the bar, but no one knows for sure who Tilcott is. The establishment by the name is well known, though. A dive bar nestled into a secret magical side street in the heart of London, it has been a staple for longer than anyone can remember. It is not the place to go for any trendy drinks or popular music or any other gimmick, but for a classic good vibe. It’s not the place many people start their nights, but many regulars end nights there.
And, come this summer, they will be getting a brand new bartender. Cashing in on some favors from Gryffindor alumni, Mary gets a job working there after graduati. She soon makes a name for herself for her ability to remember people’s drinks and willingness to listen to anyone wallow. It’s a good enough job, even if there are nights where locking up by herself in a dark alley is a bit more anxiety inducing than she would like.
Even so, Mary thinks of it as a decent job for her to get. Despite the fact that she passed all of her NEWTs, something she was very proud of but has decided to keep to herself for the most part.
The More Distant Future:
While Mary spends most of the war bartending, she quickly quits once all the shit hits the fan. In the aftermath, she finds her dream job at a magical creatures sanctuary. She might have had no control over what happened to her friends, but she can help animals in need for the rest of her life.
On the personal side, she reconnects with Reginald Cattermole and eventually marries him. They move to the the Scottish country side and have three children.
