Honestly, I was so surprised that your progress for pirate Jungkook went from 59% to 64% that quick, like wow we are so getting near!! I always check your wips rather than ask how far you are because I find it more convenient and I don't know, having that wips posted really does serve its purpose on showing us updates on your writing lol. SOFT HOURS // JUNG HOSEOK

Pairing: hoseok x female reader Genre: fluff Rating: none Word Count: 665 Author’s note: just a short drabble to quench my fluff thirsty heart.

You met Jung Hoseok on a movie night at your friend’s apartment. He was a classmate, a good one, that had the potentials to be introduced to the rest of the gang. He was funny and cool, already part of the family after the first few hours. As he was introduced to everyone, you swore you have never seen the most blinding smile and felt the warmest hand other than his. And if that’s not yet enough, he’s really handsome. You’re just thankful you didn’t become a stuttering mess when it was your turn to say your name. Despite the attraction, you distanced yourself away from him for the rest of the night. You didn’t want to overwhelm him. Like, come on, it’s only the first night. It’s a bit too much if you just blurt out “hey nice smile. Date me”. That’s why you maintain your posture, kept your cool and sat your butt down comfortably on the cramped couch while he situated himself on the carpeted floor.

That was back then, but this is now.

Your upper body laying sideways on his lap and his one hand on your belly while the other on the mat to support his sitting position. This was made possible by an awkward, yet fateful, encounter at a coffee shop, a shy confession, and yes, some maple syrup-coated waffles.

Tonight is like any other night with your friends. Friends that became Hoseok’s friends as well. And speaking of friends, movie nights has finally changed venues. From an overcrowded living room to a spacious and grass-covered backyard (plus stars in the night sky).They have made the movie experience a whole lot better with the intelligence and resourcefulness that resides in their brains.

With a recycled blank tarpaulin, a makeshift projector and still with the same people; you’re at the best place you could ever ask for.

Literally in Hoseok’s arms too.

Halfway through the movie, the side of your body across Hoseok’s lap began to ache, probably tired from laying down. You decided to move a little and adjust your body, only to bump the top of your head against your boyfriend’s chin. You’re about to look up and apologize, squirming to sit up.

But, he beat you to it by kissing the top of your head lovingly.

Your face flushes, suddenly shy to move any further. Much more, meet your boyfriend’s dreamy eyes and dashing smile. He still makes your heart flutter and you’re not sure whether to combust or melt.

“Hey,” he calls and you finally look up. “Your body is getting warmer. Aren’t you supposed to be a little bit cold?”

Laying your head on his lap with eyes looking up to his glorious face, you let out an honest reply, “well, you just unexpectedly kissed me. How did you expect my body to react?”

Hoseok’s expression became smug. “Oh, so you’re telling me that I am the cause of this sudden temperature change? Hmm?”

You pout at his teasing and in an instant, it softened him. He leans down and kisses your forehead as an apology. “I love kissing you, anytime and anywhere. You shouldn’t be embarrassed about it.”

“I’m not!” You whined. “It’s just… I grow weak and shy whenever you do! Okay? You’re too good for me.”

“You are too good for me,” he corrects before landing a sweet peck on your lips.

Your eyes widen and your heart just, indeed, burst. You’re starting to think he finds great pleasure in teasing you. But still, you can’t deny the best feeling that rose upon hearing those words from him. So, instead of glaring at him, you immediately pull him back by the neck and fully kiss his lips before he could distance himself any further.

Now, it was his turn to blush. You can’t help but giggle.

Hoseok bites his lips. “You know what? I’m starting to get tired and I want you all for myself right now. So, shall we go?”

jungkook comes to wake to your missing presence as he opens his eyes to find his arms are empty. he darts out and waves his arms around, trying to make sure you’re not somewhere hidden in the sofa and he’s proven right when a voice rings from the kitchen and he falls to his ass.

“i’m not there, idiot,”

at the sound of your voice, his head snaps to the direction of where you’re in, before he scrambles up to his feet and he drags himself over to be closer to you. one step after another, he reaches where you are and he knows because he can smell you. the soft scent of oranges and lavender sounds like it would never pair well but it does and jungkook likes it because it’s you.

his arms find their way by your sides, before it slings forward and jungkook’s able to hold you from behind. he smiles sheepishly when you try to wiggle away but when it’s a few seconds of a losing battle, you sink into his embrace and he lives for how your back moulds against his chest. spreading warmth like wildfire kissing his skin of a young love, jungkook’s unable to resist the urge of kissing your cheek as he looms over your shoulder.

“i love it when you make food for me,” he murmurs the words to the skin of your exposed shoulder of wearing a tank top. you chuckle and reach for a slice of tomato to bite half, "you’re making it sound like i’m making a five-star meal for you,” the other going into jungkook’s mouth, “it’s just a sandwich,”

as he chews on the tomato and swallows, he reaches for your hand with one of his own to bite on it, making you yelp before you jab him by his abdomen. a shared laughter shakes the pair of your hearts together before you settle on the silence. that amplifies what jungkook says next, making you cackle with laughter.

“it’s a great motherfucking sandwich, if you asked me.”
