It was stupid, she knew it was stupid to even think of her ex and what they had done to her, how they had left her shattered in a thousand pieces. After having her lose everything, push all her friends away she fiddled around with her phone as Elian gently cleared her throat. She knew she had no right to even call them, but she had to, she was alone now. It wasn’t fully her fault, but she knew that the bridges she was told to burn were most likely gone. But her fingers tapped on that black box as she called the other. Voicemail— instantly too, something that she definitely deserved but she didn’t hang up she began to speak. “Hey—It’s Elain. I know I haven’t talked to you in…listen I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry and I—I just want to talk to you.” Her throat tightened and her voice cracked slightly. “I’m sorry—-I shouldn’t have called. Have a good day.” She hung up and stared at her phone not really sure with what she had just done.
