But when you do feel in your element, you act with a wisdom and sensitivity never found in people with thicker skins.

in modern settings,  or whenever a surname is a norm in society,  aa/ng’s full name will be  patola,  aa/ng.  tibetan people typically do not have surnames  ( sources:  x / x ),  but may choose to use their birthplace in place of one.  since the southern air temple is located in the patola mountain range,  aang will take that name when necessary.  by convention,  the surname does come before the given name like in many asian cultures,  but aa/ng will still go by aa/ng whether he is in a society that uses surnames or not.

also i should state that i roleplay vincent with the headcanon that the limb on his left side is a dented, brass prosthetic. the original art and OG action figure do not have the leather gloved palm on the underside. that's only congruent with DoC/AC figureines and artwork.

there is a limb underneath it, but it is virtually unusable outside of its armored state. it's mishapen and the fingers are long, spindly and clawed. the armored area connects to a part of his joint that is disfigured and widened by the original, excellerated rate of transformation that occured during hojos experiments.
