i like to think that will & fiona were very close friends and helped design the foxy puppet show together (fiona did the puppeteering, will wore the springlock suit). a young michael was often used as their test audience, hence his early obsession with foxy.

edwin tried to expand upon it later, but production costs skyrocketed when he began to “automate” it and the project was later scrapped before it made it to market.

i’ve wanted for a while to write something about the weird power dynamic between F10-N4 and Arnold/the player during the parachute route, so i made this. i cobbled it together late last night so it kind of gets all over the place but i hope you appreciate it, dear reader.

Are there any very subtle symbolisms in Ur titd fic

hehe.. i'm gonna look back so sorry if this takes a bit to answer, but sometimes yeah :]

one: Fiona being the sun in the costume arnold is making for her. Yes, that's what she is in the game, but here it also kinda represents her being a metaphorical light? she makes david happy, she makes arnold happy (COUGH). kinda like how people call characters "sunshine characters," only hers is less "always happy" and more, she is a light to the people around her, inspiring them, i guess is the best way to put it..? Fiona was the same way with Edwin too ("you've become the heart of this company").

also In chapter 29 (not yet released as im posting this but will be soon!), there's this line:

cradle pun. Fiona is like the cradle meant to calm the mimic. She calms david down, as he is currently very confused and a bit stressed right now

also, because of all this: is f10n4 Fiona's ghost? hahaha good question. im not answering that yet.

also chapter 15 is literally called Sunshine because that's what Arnold is to Andy :] he's the light of his life.

Two: all. of the moon.exe stuff + my interpretations of it. Owl is Mimic. my mind is. completely blanking. but that.

Three: Arnold being a doggg and also andy sometimes. I don't know how well this has shown in the writing so far, but whenever I imagine them in my head, Arnold is like a guard dog. He'll snap if he needs to (see: chapter 3), but loyal to a fault. ive been kinda thinking about it but looking at dog breeds now and.. (assigning him a fursona) arnold would probably be a caucasian shepherd or a rottweiler. he's ouppy doggy.

now andy. he's compared to a dog a lot partially because i like to switch it up but also.. he can be a bunny too. not 100% set on this but if i had to give him a breed it'd be bernese mountain dog.

okay i realized this part has turned into me rambling about what animal they'd be. but whatever. choosing these based on how i see the characters and how i write them/want to write them in the future so technically counts as symbolism?? use the breed personalities to learn more about them??? i dont know let me ramble

so bunny species. andy would probably be a hare (all leporidae are bunny. to me). probably a cape hare

Four: titlessss. i love doing the chapter titles. Andy's is very purposefully Proper Title Writing, full capitalization, etc. Arnold's is all lowercase with a period always. I thought it helped kinda differentiate the two "moods" the characters had, i guess?? Andy's is always proper and to the point like he is (Research and Development, The Murray House, Back to Work, etc). While Arnold's sometimes are more directly how he feels (it's too dark down here., expendable., bedtime., if only., hope., etc). Also Arnold's have gotten more positive as time has gone on :)

Howeverrrr sometimes Andy's switches and shows more of his feelings of the situation too, like with Absolutely Lovestruck or Sunshine (as told above). if any of that makes sense ehehe

David's titles are very specifically meant to represent Moon.exe/parachute like commands. except for the latest one which is just ERROR.

five: speaking of david. what he calls things. not sure if this counts as symbolism but im still gonna talk about it. Green and Yellow morph into Green Dad and Yellow Dad. because those are what color clothes they were wearing when he first saw them (also their favorite colours. but he doesn't know that).

okay im rereading the david chapters and. this line

i dont remember if this was intentional or not but now im saying it is. moon.exe storybook reference (the boxes you put the toys in)

David calls the MCM "Old Home" and Andy's house New Home. they are family :] thats. the only words my brain can come up with but that is intentional!!

more fursona assigning. the owl david saw is a Spotted Owl.

OH and the whole owl costume thing is for several reasons. 1: he wants to be like his mom 2: a way to bond w/ arnold 3: david isn't choosing a costume from MCM, he's choosing his own thing, kinda like choosing his own path. he doesn't just have to mimic now, he can be his own person too :]

although F10-N4 is certainly playing the sympathy card when you get into her room in rnd, i don’t think that automatically rules out anything she says being true. i think she’s being honest when she says she’s lonely, that she still loves Edwin, and that she believes he abandoned her. (if her email titles being “SAD” and “HURT” is anything to go by, she’s really not doing great.)

what makes it manipulative is that she’s only revealing this information once she’s been totally cornered as a last-minute bid for Arnold to do what she wants.
