"Black Women Matter. Black Children Matter." Next time you see these statements or any ones like them, make sure you speak and read with conviction. This is not just a hashtag, it's a lifestyle; it's our lives. It's one thing to lose your voice temporarily at a march and another to lose your life forever. Say these hashtags aloud. Say them like you believe them until you do. We matter. Women of color need not to convince you all that this be the truth, but you all must convince yourselves if you haven't already! (And yes, this is a "you all" type of deal - it's not accusatory, it's simply the truth.) shoutout to this absolutely beautiful person with their absolutely beautiful sign that let me get their picture🍯 #march4blackwomen #m4bw (at Adams Morgan)
They are learning to be an example for each other. They are learning to be unapologetic. They are learning that there is no reason to cower or to be fearful to demand liberation for All Black Women. They are learning they are not alone in this journey. - - #m4bw #m4bwfl #sayhername #queerblackparenting #blackqueerparenting #blacktranswoman #blackgirljoy #blackgirlmagic #m4rj #intersectionality #humanrights #allblackwomen #allblackwomenmatter #qwoc #audrelorde (at Wynwood Art District)
On September 30, 2017 we marched for black women everywhere. Summer and I took our girls down to Miami to participate in the March for Black Women. Check out our video highlighting some of the beautiful moments of the day.
March 4 Black Women (M4BW) Detroit is having a National Virtual Healing Space Event tomorrow from 7-9 p.m. We will hear from activists, spiritual/religious leaders, and mental health professionals on how to take care of ourselves during this stressful time. Everyone is welcome.#BlackLivesMatter #M4BW (x)
When I'm with white people I have to ask why are you so racism
When I'm with heterosexuals I have to ask why are you so homophobic
When I'm with men I have to ask why are you so sexist
