Gabriel looks over at her, thinks he needs to make her some food, thinks he would do anything to see those dark shadows under her eyes fade. Cause he knows those dark shadows well, they sit beneath his own eyes betraying the words that come out of his mouth every day.
He should go to work. There are bills to pay, those constant hungry wolves clawing at the door, desperate to tear at his flesh, asking for things he doesn’t have to give.
But he can give her this, its more important than the bills and the job and everything in this whole fucking planet as far as he is concerned.
Walking over he puts his arms around her thin shoulders, tries to transfer all of his strength in her.
