So I was re-watching "The Message" Y'know.. the one where Jayne got that bitchin' hat. Am I the only one who wonders who Maddie is? Does Jayne have a sick brother/sister (I've known both boys and girls named Maddie)? is this one of Ma Cobb's friends? Is it her lover? Who the hell is Maddie? Also doesn't it seem like Jayne really cares about his family? He does forward credits to his mother after all.

Edit: It's come to my attention that it's Matty/Mattie... Not Maddie. My bad.

You know under copyright and trademarking laws clothing is a bit of a grey zone especially hand made clothing such as a very cunning hat and it's been stated by lawyers that Fox has no legal right to send cease and desist letters to the wonderful knitters who are making a scifi inspired hat. So fox can suck a big dick as its owner yells "You can't take the sky from me."
