Ibe was both surprised and not surprised at seeing how close Shorter and Eiji grew to be. The two teens couldn’t have a more different style and way of carry themselves but instead of clashing they complemented each other. It made for the most tender photos he had been able to capture so far in this rollercoaster of a trip he embarked.

It was an even more striking picture when adding Ash to the mix, but the third teen was more often than not preocuppied with all the dangers following them. Whenever he gave himself a reprieve by seeking solace with Shorter and Eiji, Ibe gave him privacy and space so Ash could relax, if only for a bit.

No one knew for how long they’d be able to steal these small moments away and Ibe knew, in his heart, that the harshness of reality would soon make an appearance again. For now, however, he would try to preserve these memories and keep on hoping that somehow, happiness and peace would find them.
